My opinion is that cross platform gaming shouldn't happen, what's the point in two consoles and the years of background behind them, and the pc gamers with their hacking and mouse spamming, you might aswell make a super console and have done with it. Bad times.

I detect someone who has never used a PC for anything besides porn and Wordpad. If you're against a pro consumer move you're either a masochistic idiot or a Nintendo employee.
-
I can't even tell if this is serious or not... God damnit it's 2016 all over again.
-
This is either the stupidest post or the best bait.
-
Console games are still prone to hacking and the like. Destiny had a huge problem with Lag switching in 2015-16 and you may as well not bother with any Nintendo game's online if it's been out for more than a month.

The hacking problem is nowhere near as bad as people think it is. The only time i found hackers is when i deliberately joined a modded lobby

Edited by Rhynerd: 4/12/2017 4:40:31 PM
what's the point in two consoles and the years of background behind them,
the consoles will still have their exclusives, the devices will still have different specs, and the console warriors will still find ammo for their silly war. All this will really give is a chance to see the consoles compete inside of the games and for friends with different consoles but the same game to finally play that game together.
and the pc gamers with their hacking and mouse spamming
I've been pc gaming for... I don't how many years, but I'm going to assume 11 or so. I've found maybe 5 hackers, 3 of which I am certain about (one of which was banned partway through the match). I probably ran into more hackers playing World at War during it's final days on my Xbox 360. Also, what's mouse spamming?
-
What the -blam!- is mouse spamming? Is that when you throw mice at people in rapid fire?
-
It would be fun having all three together. The problem of keyboard and mouse could be fixed by giving the option to use it on each platform but separate them from Controller users.
-
Sony wont allow it.
-
An affordable super console would cause a monopoly and cause all of us to get -blam!-ed

I don't think consoles should ever be cross platformed with pc because in some games it would be genuinely unfair. Because playing on PC is objectively easier for some games than on console. But I think Xbox and PS4 should be cross platformed. Each console would still get their exclusives and no console is easier to play on really, so it would be fair. Plus it would up the player base of all games, which would make matchmaking so much better in games that have it and make it so even games that didn't sell so well, like Titanfall, still have a lot of players logging in. It's honestly a win win for everyone if consoles get cross platformed.

Edited by Vox Mortuis: 4/12/2017 7:11:42 AMSo...You don't want something to happen that would benefit all gamers? Edit: also, it's already happened. However, it's not automatic, devs can choose if their game will be cross platform or not.
-
It would actually be a good thing for the different gaming communities. If a particular console or PC had a smaller player base for example Titanfall 2 having a smaller player base on PC compared to console
-
The only real problem would be in RTS and FPS. I see no problem with it.
-
Too late, it already has. And what the f*ck is "mouse spamming"?
-
Xbox-PlayStation I'm for Console-PC. Absolutely not!

They would still have their respective exclusives. They run their own stores and can have sales to beat the competitor. Who's to say all games would be cross compatible? It would most likely start with "MLG/e-sports" games to have youtubers promote the new concept. Depending on how it goes would determine whether Sony/MS would put in the resources for other games.
