Don't worry guardians, we have a vault in the iron temple.
The tower gets destroyed in destiny 2, so what happens to the iron temple?

The vaults on the other areas only work due to the main vault in the tower . So if the tower gets destroyed and the main vault is toast all vaults elsewhere ARE GONE !!!

1 ReplyThe most likely answer is that the traveller will be disabled or even killed in the cabal attack. Our light is linked to the traveller, so without it we cannot use our light-infused gear. The same goes for all our abilities. Our old gear would be extra weight, except perhaps swords.

oh god if this were only true lol I understand where they are going with this but wouldnt it be nice to at least be able to import your player in private matches, or a certain raid for the week? I am willing to say goodbye to my strangely handsome awoken warlock and all the gear I have in my vault over the last 2 and a half years, but it will be tough

For D2 we have lost our ability to not store a couple of 'emergency' weapons in our ships. My god-roll Luna never did stay in that shonky Microsoft ether: either on me or under the dashboard. So wtf!

I would assume regardless of location all vaults outside of the Tower are merely access points for the Tower based vault. We clearly are grounded at first and can't get to the reef, and i highly doubt we can march to the Temple. As for everything on our characters, i would assume that is a feature of our Ghost, which will be dead, dying, or out of communication in someway, with the Traveller be a big ball of ash in the sky. Anyway... Burn everything!

The vault in temple and reef are just transmat stations for what is in the tower so in otger words your screwed

I get that for gameplay reasons destroying the vaults in the Tower means "all our stuff is gone", but unless we were fighting them with our fists, what destroys our last equipped set of gear? Gary punches the Vault so hard our equipped stuff breaks?

4 RepliesHow does no one get it yet? It's like if you had a server, and then multiple access points to the server. Once the server went down, the access points lose access to the server. In this case the server is the actual vaults, and the access points are the towers we go to to get our stuff from the "server".

Same with the outpost.

I thought the vaults had a transmat protocol in them, allowing us to use the interface they have, and then our gear gets transmatted directly to our Ghost.
