Didn't get the loot you wanted from Crota? See you next month...
"We're more generous with our drops now..." Really Bungie? Really?
Drop rates from the Crota raid are no different than they were in year 1. I got 1 piece of armor on my titan and 2 on my warlock. I have not run my hunter yet, but my expectations are pretty low.
The BIG problem is this... If you don't get what you are looking for, you have to wait until the Crota challenge comes back into rotation (next month) before you can get another snowball's chance in hell at getting the loot you want. I'm assuming getting a full set of the new Crota armor on any of my characters will take months (not weeks) now. Seriously Bungie... I was ok with weeks, but months? It's not worth it.
I really expected that you would have allowed us to run all the 390 raids every week. Sure the challenge modes will rotate, and I'm cool with that. But the 390 raid itself should be available to be run every week. This gives us opportunity to get the gear we want week after week and run challenges for the adept weapons and ornaments.
Hope you guys can address this, but I'm not expecting much. Hopefully you will not pull something like this in Destiny 2.

The 390 version will always be available every week from now on. Read up before you complain.

You can still play 390 Crota next week but you can't get the exotic primaries, the armor ornaments, or the challenge emblems.

With the standardization of ornaments, you can do challenge modes in the other 3 raids and still apply those ornaments to your Crota gear, should you feel inclined. Please remove or update your post. It is cynically misleading at best and a straight up lie at worst.

I dunno. I got three Abyss Defiant Adepts and a legendary version over two characters. That's pretty generous... sorta... One armor piece, BTW.

I got exactly what I wanted. I've only completed it on my Hunter though.

Here are my Raid experiences so far. Did Challenge on Warlock and got no armor and used the buff on Crota. I did get two adept weapons and three legendary weapons but no armor stinks. On my hunter I got the Helmet as my only gear drop without just completing the raid. Oh and I got disconnected right when we completed the bridge and got no loot. In my opinion 1 armor drop is too little for two raid completions. I do not feel showered. Yes I can run it next week but I want to focus on VOG... not do six raids. With that said I do love the update and applaud the challenges so far.

So it was a misconception on my part. I didn't know they were staggering the 390 raid releases. It looked like they were only allowing you to do one 390 raid a week. I've never been more happy to be wrong. Thank you all.

Edited by iDovahBear: 3/30/2017 6:52:10 PMYou can earn the Ornaments and use them on the non-Challenge mode gear. You can even use your current Ornaments on your Wrath of the Machine gear already, but you can't access the 390 version of Wrath of the Machine. See you next week.

[/b] If you'd read the notes, or simply take a look at the raid options, you'd know this. Don't put the blame on Bungie for your laziness.

I have the class item, 5+ ornaments, two emblems, all adept weapons, both heavies, both specials, and Necrochasm. And normal Oversoul. How is that not generous? I've gotten doubles already as well

I got duplicates of all of the exotics except for Fang and Oversoul. Literally got all of them and then some

You can run next week crota 390,and VoG 390+challenge.....the week after you can run crota 390, VoG 390,kings fall 390+challenge and so one.... Sorry for bad English

3 Repliesfrom my understanding you can run the raid every week for the armour and regular weapons however the challenge is needed for the exotics and the ornaments.. so go nuts.. play it every week for the loot you want.
