I actually like the nerf because now gun skill is more important as well as choosing the right weapon for your playstyle and the map at hand. I think this is the best state of special ammo economy there has been but it could be better. Here's my solution: shotguns, snipers and fusion rifles should always spawn with one or two rounds. I think that would probably be the perfect balance (pun intended, sorry).
