Guardian suffering anxiety reaching out for Raid assistance on Xbox One
Ok, firstly, i am not looking to be carried through the raid. I want to add as much to the experience as i can. The problem is that i am a 46 year old guy in the UK who suffers horrendously with anxiety and panic sets in when having to interact with strangers.......which is why i tried going through Crota's End solo (not the 390 version) just to experience my first raid. Actually managed to get to Crota and then was well and truly out of my depth.
I want to be able to complete Crota's End, experience for the first time Vault of Glass, and Wrath of the Machine (Kings Fall does not interest me - bad experiences with a clan i was once part of has really turned me off this raid.). To do so will obviously mean having to team up with strangers and communicate to some degree.
Anyone out there who can understand my condition and believes they can assist, would be great to hear back from you.
I do have a very small clan consisting of my wife and two Americans who are relatively new to the game. Very rarely able to get together as a small unit and the styles of play don't really fit in with a raid, which i will say is not my strong point in Destiny. But have avoided them for so long and now wish to experience them but in a comfortable, stress free manner (if that is possible.) After all, it is still a game and meant to be fun.

Update on Sunday 2nd April 2017. Just adding a huge thank you to those who invited me to their clans and offered support from themselves and their members. Sadly, i have realised that the extent of my anxiety is going to prevent me joining other Guardians in a microphoned atmosphere. I simply am unable to battle the nervousness and physical distress i endure in these occasions. For me i would need to gradually communicate with each member until i felt at ease and comfortable enough to believe that there is a mutual understanding. Then maybe i would be ready to tackle a raid. This isn't likely or even realistic so i again say a sincere thank you but i will settle to my other challenges that are a little more reachable, and i have help and support where necessary with these. Keep safe and strong out there.

I have been to therapy and was on medication for about a year due to anxiety/depression. The guy who actually runs our clan also has some anxiety issues. That being said we can't exactly go out of our way to help a single person. We have built a helpful, fun and chill group of adults through very careful recruitment. We enjoy running raids and helping people learn and complete them. One of our leaders never did a raid before joining us and is now completely addicted to it. Below is the copy paste info. If you feel you would like to put yourself out there, we would love to have you and your other friends. We are a clan looking for mature (21+ plz) and chill PS4 players who are mostly interested in PVE. While we are starting to try to improve at, and participate more in PVP that is not our main focus. Our group started on day 1 as a group of friends, and has grown over time by adding like minded people. We like to get things done, but only if we are having fun and joking around. Games are not meant to be super serious. Once TTK launched we were big enough that we decided to create a clan and actively search out more players who could become friends. We have multiple raid sign ups every week, and are very happy to teach anyone who wants to learn. No one starts out knowing how to beat the raid, we all had to learn.
