Feels like old times.

As our Age of Triumph gets closer with each passing day, I am once again filled with memories of Year One. My brother and I started playing in November 2014. We had so much fun & to this day we still suppress the darkness. I remember stumbling upon the spire in Venus. I saw a few people jumping around so I went with them. I then saw them open the huge door. The Gate. Unlike anything I've seen before. That is when I was gripped. I wanted more than just the nightfall. I wanted to be the very best. Like no one ever was. To slay raids was my real test; to wipe was not My cause. So I traveled across the worlds, searching far and wide. Alongside my brother. We completed the Vault of Glass. The accomplishment I felt I haven't experienced in a while in video games. We became complacent. We got comfortable knowing we had mastered Destiny. Then the Moon awakened, and with it. The scourge of light. Crota. A new challenge was upon us. Yet this one felt different. Was it fear? I think it was. Moving forward Slaying his generals and discovering his chamber, was a sight. I'll tell you that much. When we summoned crota, we simply said let's burn him to the ground. Like everyone else before him. As we all know it was not that simple. For we had to take his own weapon and use it against him. Many of the guardians I went with were scared of this. Scared to fail. Scared to wipe. Even my brother was among those ranks. I look to him and he looks to me. That is the moment I became the Sword Bearer. I gave up on fear and relinquished all doubt in my mind. Someone had to do it. That is when I felt the same feeling I felt in VOG. Accomplishment. My whole team relying on me. If I was to fail. It was certain doom for all of us. With that on the back of my mind, we went forward. We took the Sword Bearer out & his sword laid out in front of me. I run past it as my team wonders if I grabbed a hold of it. I did. As I'm running to the iconic rocks I am counting down. My brother taking care of the boomers as if to keep me safe. 3...2...1... Fire. I hear the Rockets whiz past me. I am up with Crota. He is staring at me, a Mortal. Versus an otherworldly being with immense power; A Demi-God. Then suddenly he drops to his knees. Of course we all know it had to be done a few times. But I wanted to highlight the very first time. It was an experience to this day I hope I can relive on the 28th. tldr; Nostalgia is a great thing. Destiny lacked in story but it made up with the fun times I had & the people I've meet. Hope to see you all in the D2 beta. Guardian out.

  • I'm calling it right now, exotic auto rifles the two best ones will be suros and Necro, and maybe hardlight. Suros, because it's suros it used to be the king of the crucible, and with the last buff to auto rifles and the new buff coming in, we might see a return of the king. Hardlight, because it has no damage falloff, if you can control that recoil the buff in damage is only going to help it. And finally my personal favorite, necrochasm. It is the only high rate of fire auto that can increase its own damage without hurting its own fire rate, because instead of scopes it has ballistics. It may not rule the crucible, but in pve this thing is going to be the new fatebringer
