The weapon select wheel made popular by Red Dead Redemption is essentially a staple in most 3rd person action games right now. HZD's version of it built crafting right into it. But the real innovation was with RDR.

Ratchet and Clank/Resistance did the weapon wheel before RDR :). Still all great games and cant wait for rdr2

I believe the original Ratchet & Clank did that. No sure where the Mechanic actually started.

Yeah, I don't think R* invented the weapon wheel. I definitely recall it in earlier games.
