Another nerf on distance for Hand Cannons? so you really want us to play with the weapons you want but not with what we actually like to. So Slowly but surely you are nerfing HC to ground . In the near future I will see sidearms with a longer range than HC just because of you and your imaginary people telling you hand cannons need to be nerfed 8 meters, yeap, that was your plan from the very beginning but you have to split it so it doesn't sound crazy, with the only excuse that the first bullet will register.
Are you coming to Destiny 2? I hope you don't, please stay away, stay with Destiny 1 and play with yourself and your stats and of course your imaginary people telling you how to fix the game, or your game? bye.
Edit 1: So if the Nerf is applied to all hand cannons then these ones are going to be a joke, some of them already less than 1/2 of Pali/Luna's range:
- Zaouli's Bane
- How dare u
- Free will III
- Down and doubt
- TLW
- Uffern
- Some others I don't remember ...
Better use the wormwood until Josh pick another weapon to "nerf - buff" then another meta might rise.
Put ur hand cannons in the Vault (if u have space) and Embrace sidearms and autorifle, it is what it is.
Repeat over and over as per each meta/patch released. They already figured it out, in some ways this is addicting for a lot of people.
It has been in that way all the time, I love the game, I don't like the way they change stuff but there are no more flavors.

Dude hand cannons are all you see, especially in 3v3 competitive formats. They are above and away the strongest weapon type. That's why they are getting nerfed.

this dude is an absolute bafoon. he has turned destiny pvp into something half the speed and half as exciting. when abilities were kickass and thorn and last word were insane. yeah, those were the best times i ever had in a pvp. now it's so lackluster. give the guardians some exotics with some power again. two tap thorn, cross map handcannons including last word, 4 tap suros, felwinters lie dane shotties, snipers with no flinch, two burst reddeath. this "balance" as some idiots call it is literally just nerfing the fun of the game lol. we want powerful exotics with fast paced game play. that's what i thought this game was. a clusterf*ck, but a fun one. an absolute madhouse. i honestly can't believe what garbage it's evolved into. the "competitive" scene can die off any time now. they ruined this game.

Nerfs continue to destroy my beloved Destiny. I don't understand the logic. Instead of destroying something, why not approach a problem with finding ways to buff other things to counter, thus will make for alot better variety in this game.

All hand cannons range should have been equalized to a variable of 10. The lowest range Down and doubt (15 turned into 20 range) the highest range Eyasluna/Palindrome/Imago (40 turned into 30) all others fall in the middle with no nerf.

We'll see though. I could be wrong. But ill keep using my Luna bc I prefer hand cannons over anything else

3 metres. If I remember correctly, a Titan melee range is 4.5 metres. Warlocks have a 6 metre melee range. So they are reducing the range by half of Warlock melee distance. In terms if weapon range, that's not far at all. I don't think this is significant enough to warrant concern.

Lets be honest. There's not that many HC diehards in the player base. They're used mainly because streamer/you tubers and sweatys in general say they're da bes. So stop whining please.

Well you handcannon users were asking for it. If you bothered using other weapoms besides the typical rangefinder, rifled barrel, LitC, etc...this might have not happened.

You dominated for 6 months in House of Wolves, for 5 months in TTK and now you've been dominating this past couple months. You're lucky they didn't give Eyasluna and Palindrome and other MI Hand Cannons the nerf they really needed; [b]a damage reduction to make them 4 shot kills while needing at least 3 headshots.
