It's perfect Right Now. Highest Range in class with Accurized and Send It. Then add on a High TTK and lingering damage, how is this not OK? It doesn't need to be another crutch, it's already balanced.

Since when did i say it needs to be a crutch? The lingering damage doesn't do anything useful in pvp or pve, and don't say "well it tracks enemies through walls." Does it look like i want them to get away? No, i want them to be finished off by the burn. The range was better before they neutered it by 25%. It was balanced pre-april update, but it is straight garbage right now.

More like 3 but whatever floats your boat. If you don't want to keep you enemies from regen, then use something else. That's what Thorn is used for. What you're asking for is for it to be another crutch.

If you increase the damage of the Burn, it's going to be just as OP as it was before. If you want it balanced, you would need to reduce the impact to compensate leaving it at a 4 shot kill dramatically reducing the TTK leaving it at the worst Exotic in the game.

Doing that would put it back into Sniper Range which was another reason it was OP in Y1 and Y2. Hand Cannons are Close Range Weapons and are still hitting hard in Long Range. Not to mention Thorn is a High RoF Hand Cannon putting its Range at the lowest Tier. It already has the highest Range in the Archetype. There is absolutely no reason to increase it. High RoF Hand Cannons have Increased TTK's but have lower Range to compensate.

It doesn't do shit to the TTK until Long Range for even High RoF Hand Cannons. Remember, they are Close Range Weapons meant to compete with Auto's, not Scouts. Why do you think they are getting a Range Nerf?

Hand cannons were not the meta in yr 2. It was pulse rifles and the doctrine archetype.

Because Streamers started bitching about Ghost Bullets when they were outside of Medium Range. Every single video posted about Ghost Bullets showed people outside of Range aiming at the very top of the Head instead of the Center of the Crit Box. It's not hard to miss when half the done is above their head. Bungie saw all of those videos and said we need to do something without thinking about it or testing it for ourselves. They need to revert the initial accuracy Buff and leave them how they were before and then massively buff Auto's so that Scouts and Pulse Rifles can have some action in Long Range.

Every Weapon has them when outside of Range. Go try them on First Light with a Sniper. Or better yet, go try Auto Rifles that actually suffer from Bloom in Medium Range due to minuscule Stability and Range. That's part of balance bro. It's been here since day 1. Hand Cannons are Close Range Weapons and Scouts are Long Range weapons. Learn the difference.
