It may look and feel like an autorifle, but it's still a fusion rifle. It's a mid-close range weapon, emphasis on the close. Used it a bunch last week in mayhem and it did work at melting guardians rushing with supers. Problem is you gotta be ready to close ranks with your buddies and combine damage OR retreat and find a better position to hit them with if they're trying to play the range game. At range you gotta single fire the enemy and agreed, then it isn't great. But you run it with 2 or three people super close or gotta someone with a scout rifle watching your back it's a ton of fun.
