It being a Fusion Rifle also means it has potential spread on every shot. It causes a lot of inconsistencies.

If they'll do that, they'll somehow break ALL Fusion Rifle spread! Like they did with Damage-Over-Time and currently, the Health Regeneration and create a new month long Meta of Fusion Rampancy!
^One could dream...
• It doesn't have spread. It fires one bolt at a time. Any spread you experience is due to recoil between shots.

  • The shot can go anywhere within the mythoclasts hipfire cone, which is where the spear comes from. It's like firing one shotgun pellet at a time. It can go anywhere in that hipfire cone.

  • But you don't generally refer to a single object "spreading". Baseball pitchers can throw a ball anywhere in a strike zone. But the ball doesn't spread. Shotguns have spread because the multiple pellets spread out from each other. Fusion rifles have spread because the multiple bolts spread apart. You might refer to multiple rounds spreading due to recoil. I could see that. But if you're referring to a single shot from vex, that doesn't have a spread. It's a single projectile.

  • Okay. All I'm saying is the shot can go anywhere in that little damned circle.

  • Uh, wrong as hell. The Vex Mythoclast experiences the same bullet cone that normal Fusion Rifles do for some reason. Do yourself a favor and go into patrol with it, look directly up as far as you can (To mitigate all recoil) and watch the projectiles fail to shoot where the reticule is over and over again.

  • What I was stating, and perhaps I misunderstood your original point, was that a single trigger pull fires one bolt and that one bolt does not spread like a normal fusion rifle which fires 7 bolts with each shot.

  • I tried tapping and the bullet hardly ever goes where the reticle is aiming.

  • That's an accuracy issue then. That wasn't what I thought was being said. When someone says spread in terms of fusion, it generally refers to the bolt spread of the 7 bolts fired in one shot. You generally don't hear someone talk about spread with scout rifle's or hand cannons because it deals with a single projectile. Vex fires a single projectile. The issue you're describing sounds more like bloom.

  • Well I think it's a mixture of bloom and fusion spread. The spread as in every time you fire you have a road hog sized area where it can land and the bloom further dissipates the bullets away from the reticle. I think an accuracy buff and reduced bloom/fusion spread would make it a viable weapon. But sadly over buffing it would make it op as it takes 5 shots to kill and fires pretty fast.
