i only got the vex about a week before they messed with it reducing the overall damage and accuracy, i liked it for that week but then it just got weaker and was no longer worth the space or time we put into getting it (i ran the vault in hard mode weekly with 3 characters and it still took forever to get it).
-
That was after the original nerf. When you could first get the vex, it was literally 3 shot to kill and had insane stability and accuracy. It got to the point that if I even heard the signature pewpewpew of a vex going off, I just jumped to orbit. The size of the mag meant that if they were accurate they could literally kill 4 or 5 guardians without needing to reload or switch weapons.

Yea,I got ghally a month n a half before it got nerfed. I feel ya.
-
Yeah I remember hearing it and the usual response was"omg someone has vex, RUN!!!" lol It was a gun worth doing the raid on 3 characters to obtain, and everyone remembers how they got their first, same with gally and fatebringer Can't think of a single weapon from recent raid, can't even name them - on paper the perks sounded awesome but the actual guns I found disappinting
-
I got really hyped over genesis chain...did all 3 characters every week and got nothing but chaos dogmas. A month after the raid was out I finally -blam!-ing got it. Gun isn't bad, but it's recoil ruins the whole gun.
-
Yeah it's the only one I've ever used out of them, I thought the weapons looked cool and sounded like they would be really good/fun, instead they were meh Maybe I need to git gud 😎
-
It was an exotic and if you got it from the raid you earned the right to slay in crucible . Back when exotics were exotics .
-
Yes I know. It was -blam!-ing awesome. It was like hawkmoon. Ppl heard it shooting and ran the other direction.
-
Who weren't?

Edited by JHarv: 2/28/2017 10:46:13 PMWhen you nerf a weapons damage by 34%, you know it was a little over the top...
-
It was a 50% damage nerf actually. Bungie is a joke, all of the patch notes include false info or ninja nerfs.
-
Was unaware. Thanks. More bs I see haha
-
Actually, bungie lied and nearly cut its damage in half.
-
Never saw anyone shoot me with it in year one. I would just hear it and turn to ash.
-
Pfft hahaha. Right
-
Vex got wrecked and destroyed
-
I were not

Exactly. Mytho owned the crucible hands down back in the day. Remember Pocket Infinity the first couple months? THAT gun was completely OP. Pretty sure it was the first gun to get nerfed.
-
Autos, fusions and shotties were the first weapons targeted, all nerfed within the first 5 months of release. Remember Light/beware? That thing was all over crucible for a few months.
-
Sniping people on first light on my original account and warlock, nostalgic

Even if he was playing in year 1, I wouldn't be surprised if he never encountered a Mythoclast. It was nerfed to hell a week after it was released, so only the people who were lucky enough to get it to drop on their very first Hard Mode completion got to taste its sweet unnerfedness.
-
It got nerfed, then a little buffed and then it got nerfed again multiple times. Lesson learned: never get attached to a gun in Destiny, at any given moment it can get nerfed into the ground.
-
I got it on my first hard mode completion...I was upset it wasn't vision...one week after Nerf lol
