Yep, NLB is definitely "OP"
It seems that almost everything that kills someone in Destiny is called "OP".
As opposed to simply countering something everyone takes to the forums and complains until Bungie does something. This video shows an obvious counter that these guardians could have taken. (simply turning to the right, and adjusting cover). But instead of realizing obvious mistakes, the community normally blames the gun that killed them.
The game has come to the point where everything has been nerfed so hard that the guns that were once considered a joke, are now being considered "OP" and nerfed. That's when you really know there is a problem.

Especially since the victim would get view kicked to the moon with every shot. And how is it fair that a sniper doesn't even have to have it's crosshair on a person and still get a shot to land especially when they are getting lite up with bullets. That's like aiming into the aim, pulling the trigger and the bullet flies out of your chest and hits the person in front of you. Makes no sense..

7 RepliesUnlimited ammo sniper with no flinch. You got a headshot on that last dude and the crosshairs weren't even on his head. So yeah. It needs adjustment or other weapons needs a buff.

It will still be a little bit bullshit because it circumvents the intention of the special ammo nerf. If the brokenness gets fixed (flinch, reload GLITCH) then it will become somewhat more reasonable because you would be gaining access to a sniper that doesn't rely on special ammo but has substantial drawbacks. If you get the kill because the gun doesn't flinch like it SHOULD then you're relying on an unfair advantage and it's kind of sad that you feel the need to defend something that's broken. It should be a "challenge yourself," high skill gap, hipster weapon. Not a: "I can't function without a special weapon, so here's my easy workaround" meta weapon.

5 RepliesThe only problem I have with NLB is the flinch. Sometimes when I'm using a Scout Rifle, the sniper is still able to land a headshot on me.

They don't take the time to find a counter but Instead immediately go to forum and complain. I bet some of these guys never even tried changing weapons to see if they can counter the NLB. I bet after getting killed 6 times while using the same set up, they throw a fit and go on the forum to complain and over exaggerate the encounter. To a lot of people, if something is used a lot, it's considered OP. No one called this weapon OP before. No one!

Edit: I'm sorry if it's annoying in Trials but in 6v6 games that gun is garbage! 3v3 there is half the people to have to worry about compared to 6v6 so a sniper primary is going to stick out like a sore thumb in a primary induced meta. Really Trials is going to dictate aaaaaallllll the NERFS? Dumb. I don't even play Trials people. It doesn't interest me and neither does its feminine ornaments and armor and I'm female! Lol! I just want our guns to be left alone now. The game is almost over leave the guns ALONE BUNGIE! Leave everything alone please.

Man. I love the NLB so much it's my favorite weapon to use, but now i just don't want to use it anymore with all the bash that it is getting. It was so much fun using it back during the HoW meta when Felwinters Lie, Thorn, TLW, Hawkmoon, and Messenger where dominant. Now I just don't have the same feeling anymore since now in every lobby you see at least 3 people using it.

12 RepliesNLB is a joke for two years...everyone flocks to "meta" guns....NLB remains a joke... meta guns are complained about.... meta guns are nerfed....special ammo is nerfed.... NLB becomes new meta... NLB which has basically remained the same gun for three years is now OP... now it will be getting nerfed... smh. People make me sad. Always have to ruin what is fun.

10 RepliesI just find it funny how they finally make a much need special "nerf" and now everyone runs to the exotic primaries and ice breaker to feed their special crutch because they aren't good to use anything g other than a shotgun or sniper. It's quite hilarious. Easy to see scrubs now, yall stick out like a sore thumb!

4 RepliesI just did a bit of testing with nlb and found out something interesting. People are complaining about the ammo glitch where the guardian doesn't do the reload animation (2 second animation, try it). Saying that you don't have to reload to take the next shot, but (and I don't usually do the "ammo glitch") the 2 seconds shot delay is still there doing the ammo glitch. I encourage everyone to test this out (I did in pve not PvP). You may find something different. This isn't to justify anything, just testing out this "glitch" out. A lot can happen in 2 secs.

18 RepliesMan, I'm glad I stayed in last gen. I can use any weapon I like, I don't have to worry about dying and losing all my ammo, and Bungie can't -blam!- the game up with their fixes. I mean, shotguns are really annoying and the Stormcaller's melee range is stupid, but at least snipers don't flinch like crazy and No land beyond isn't getting nerfed. If I ever upgrade and buy RoI, I sure as hell won't play PvP. The Crucible is at its best on last gen and that's how I will remember it when Destiny 2 comes out.

I don't think its OP, however a primary with 0TTK in the current state is some what annoying. Of course there's Ice Breaker to counter it, which it does well. I say its annoying because it reduces variety in trials. That's my ONLY complaint about it.
