strike specific loot question
hi, still on TTK, never upgraded to ROI. Am i still able to obtain strike specific loot such as Imago Loop? or do these now depend on skeleton keys (or however it works?)

Yes you are able to get the strike specific loot for strikes you can play. Although, since you can't play the nightfall, you can't get the garanteed skeleton key and I don't even know if you can get a skeleton key without RoI anyways. Also, you won't be able to play the Heroic Playlist for better drop rates. With TTK and without RoI, your best bet is to play he Taken War playlist for a higher chance at the Specific loot as it is higher level than the base Strikes. Other than that, you can still load up the strikes from the map and complete them over and over until you get that specific item. Also, I'm not sure, but you might still get. Vanguard Streaks from the Taken War playlist for another boost. Try it out and see what is best for you. To answer your question, yes, you can still get the Strike Specific Loot for TTK strikes, but it will be at a much lower rate than Nightfalls and Heroic Strikes.

Legendary/exotic engrams and also taken war heroic strikes award me blue engrams higher than my light level, currently im getting 374/375 blues which I dont understand lol Why do i bother? Genuinely still enjoy the game even though i've platinum'd it. But, not gonna get ROI....new addition to my family, training away from home for a new job...call it life lol, I couldnt dedicate the raid hours like I used to. Anyways..getting differing views here as to whether I can get strike specific loot? If so, if i start the strike from the map I can only do it on easy, will legendary loot still drop or does it have to be taken war heroic strike?

So much gets restricted when you don't upgrade to the newest DLC. A bit of a underhanded marketing ploy yes, but overall I feel I've easily gotten my value from it. So my advice would be to grab ROI if you are in a position to do so. I'm pretty sure the specific loot is in the skeleton chests now.

No, legendary loot other than engrams no longer drop from bosses they are only obtainable from opening the chests. Ive done 500+ strikes since roi and none ever dropped strike loot from the boss.

No, you have to get them from the Skeleton key Chests

They are still in the Loot Pool I believe, the skeleton keys added were to make it easier to grind for the strike specific gear.

Skeleton Keys I believe. So no, you'd need Rise of Iron. If you really still play Destiny, you should buy Rise of Iron just to play what you should already be able to.
