I typically use Alucard's fist or one of the punching weapons against doppleganger. This is kind of difficult though because you'll need to stand nearly ontop of him to land any hits.
Knowing how to cast all the [url=http://guides.gamercorner.net/sotn/spells/]spells[/url] will help too.

Edited by Garzon: 2/25/2017 3:33:53 PMI was using the Basilard dagger and the throwing knives. He's got some kind of sword so he can swipe at me before I get close and I still hardly have a hang of the dodge. The spells don't need to be unlocked?

Edited by UmbralHunter: 2/25/2017 3:36:43 PMNope. You just need to know how to use them. Some like soul steal will require you to level up enough to have enough mana to cast it, but otherwise you're good to go. Edit: the ones in green require you to have the ability first.
