I came across this comment on a video about Horizon Zero Dawn.
I personally find it stupid that some people can't get over themselves when it comes to playing as the opposite sex in video games.
In this example it appears the person doesn't like the idea of just a female protagonist. I can't help but question why the genitals of a character really matter? Shouldn't we be focused on the personality of the character and what they stand for as opposed to what is between their legs?
What annoys me is that the original commenter is calling people feminists without putting up an argument when being called out on it...
Anyway, thoughts?

It shouldn't matter to anyone, because it doesn't matter. The same emotional resonance still carries no matter if it's a girl or guy. The only time that would matter if it was about a girl being pregnant or something like that, because guys wouldn't be able to relate to that etc. But, in Horizon's case, it's just about a person who explores and is trying to save her community. That person just happens to be a girl. So what?
