Horizon Zero Dawn: Initial look at performance on both Pro and base PS4 hardware.
They are saying this one of the best looking console games ever made. If not the best.
Game runs well on regular PS4. But on PS4 Pro it is running smoother, there is a significant increase in visuals due to checkerboard rendering. The game runs well overall at steady 30 fps. No wonder why Kojima chose Decima engine.
Metacritic horizon average critic score is 88 based on 82 reviews. Looks like a must buy for fans of Action/Adventure or open world games.
Horizon Zero Dawn is out for the PS4 and PS4 Pro on February 28 in North America and March 1 in Europe.

Edited by AxelOfTheLight: 2/24/2017 1:55:46 PMTake everything with a grain of salt though. Supposedly it's about a 30 hour game doing every main quest and side quest, and the full map is a wee bit bigger than skyrims. Supposedly your responses don't change a ton about the way the game progresses, though some may be remembered at later points in the game. Apparently there's quite a bit of human on human combat, which is described as unsatisfying and unwelcome compared to combat with the various machines of the world. One critic said he found himself seeking side quests to simply get away from people. Overall however, it's still described as a must have for fans of RPG games

Looking forward to it. I need a little break from Destiny. This game looks awesome.

I'm buying it. It looks fun and I have a Pro that it can take advantage of. I'm also getting Ghost Recon Wildlands. That game is so much fun
-
Be curious to see what the day one patch does for Horizon on the pro

Looks good. I might pick this up if I get a PS4.

Good on Guerilla Games. That is some high quality optimization. You can see their 'magic fog' on shots with a long draw distance. It makes me wonder what it would look like on a high end PC or the Scorpio. The change from the vanilla to the Pro is not surprising. The Pro isn't powerful enough to really get to native, especially with a game like this. On the gameplay, I'm still iffy. Those are good scores but I'm going to wait until people have it. Skepticism is safety. Overall the game seems to be shaping up nicely. Hopefully it turns out as good as it looks because this is a really cool idea.
