Well this is dependent on map, whether we are in comp or not, etc. but supposing we are in comp, I'm going to want each person to go as someone they're competent and confident in, without sacrificing good composition as a whole. So right now, a Dva, Roadhog, Rein is great. Tanks can vary, but Rein is a definite on defense. One or two healers, depending on number of tanks. Mercy and then either healer, whatever people are good with. If it's Ilios well, or any other area where environmental kills are possible, im going to push for Lucio. Soldier 76 is currently a good staple for the offense. The Bastion buffs might alter this some, im too scared to know! Haha! But really any offense can work IF you're good at them and know how to play them. People hate on Sombra but she can be invaluable on a comp team when played right. Sort of like Winston. He's undervalued, but when played correctly at the right times, can be a great asset. Preferably no Hanzo or Widow, UNLESS they're excellent at that role. I have yet to see a Widow own comp, but I've seen excellent Hanzos. Basically, choose a hero you're good with and that also compliments composition. Don't sacrifice team comp to play a hero you like. It's about the team. Not the individual. Carrying is exceedingly difficult in Overwatch. Anything close to a carry is likely going to be 2-3 or more teammates carrying the other half.
