Why did you nerf quickdraw for the aspects and blade? Why take away the appeal of an entire exotic. As if exotics weren't bad enough and then they made the only good perk(imo) left on blade crap... why?
-
Because it lived up to its name. Cant have things that do what the perkname says. Tripmine doesnt trip ppl. Golden gun is orange. Bladedancer doesnt dance. Swarm grenade doesnt swarm. And now quickdraw doesnt draw quick.
-
There was absolutely no need for that change. A dev probably got a face full of buckshot charging someone that was using a primary and quick swapped - "surprise!" So they cried and got it nerfed.
-
Because bungie thinks it is op, and they are noobs. They fall off their own maps
-
Because bungie likes to nerf things for no reason Quickdraw was the main reason I fell in love with blade dancer now that it's crap and hungering blade got nerfed I'm going back to gunslinger.
-
According to Josh hamrick (the guy behind all this)
nerfed QD to keep weapon perk QD valuable
That's dumb. The point of it on BD was so you could use a different perk besides QD. This didn't make any sense.
-
It was probably josh hamricks idea, this whole patch was probably his idea. Besides hand cannon accuracy buff I mean it was a smart decision unlike the rest of the patch
-
...because Bungie wants you to play the way they want you to play. Bungie doesn't know fun even if you farted on a dark cloud...
-
Probably cause the hunters thought it was op. Then realized it was in their subclass so now they're crying about it
-
Because Hunters complained about Ophidian Aspects, but it backfired on them.

Edited by PR4X1S: 2/22/2017 11:17:01 AMWe can ask why on 99% of bungie's lackluster attempts at patching, I just want a patch that contains ALL BUFFS, and optional matchmaking on Nightfall.
-
Welcome to the brave new neutralized middle ground where success is manufactured for the masses.
-
Because -blam!- blade dancers that's why
-
Cause a Dev was having a cranky Monday & no coffee in his cup.
-
It was a shit change, but I guess I'm just gonna have to find some weapons with QuickDraw on them :(
-
There is no reason why, it just happened

Edited by zxionisus: 2/20/2017 9:38:21 PMDidn't you hear of all the people who complained about quickdraw? "Whoa - did you see that guardian draw that gun fast! He killed everyone in his path!" "Holy crap, that guy just quickdrew through a wall!" "I keep dying from that quickdraw guy!" "I can't believe the range on that f'ing quickdraw. I'll call it mapadraw!" "Nerf quickdraw! It's OP!" "Who the heck would put quickdraw on a gun?! It completely unbalanced the game. The only way to compete is to use quickdraw now." It's all everyone has been talking about for 3 years.
-
I'm starting to think it's to make it so sniper body shot primary is harder to do. Still a dumb and uncalled for nerf.
-
You have to look at the quickdraw and blink nerfs as a package deal to get the full picture of what the intent was. Blink enforces a delay on ADS with weapons. Quickdraw on BD or Ophidians were fast enough that they allowed you to evade that limitation to a (very) small degree. Apparently, combining that with increased in-air accuracy was a concern, so they squashed both blink and the quickdrawing options. I don't see that it would have been enough of a problem to need to be addressed, but we can confirm that the playtesting on this patch was done in a bubble. And when you test in a bubble, the confirmations you receive run a large risk of being biased. That's why proper SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) has multiple deployments across multiple environments with different audiences before anything goes live.
-
It was unwarranted and a trash move by the devs. Single-point-sling feels much snappier than QD now...
-
I blame trials. Every single odd nerf on anything has the biggest impact on trials gameplay. If trials were to be done away with then these odd nerfs that nobody asked for would stop.
-
Spur of the moment
-
It's like an assassin had just gunned down a Blade dancer; watched him bleed out; begins to leave him for dead when he hears the blade dancer briefly moaned forcing the Hitman to enter back into the room, stand over him, and fire the kill shot.
-
Blade didn't need any nerfs, Shinobu's did but Blade itself needed help more than anything. I don't run Blade often cause the hit registration on the Super feels wonky, Blink is trash, and it's otherwise an underwhelming subclass outside of Skip nades.
-
I don't know what they were thinking. Quickdraw was among the few reasons if not the main reason to play bladedancer.
-
You know what that is a legitimate question!
-
I haven't even gotten the -blam!-ing gauntlets yet :/
