So after seeing this uproar about the new patch, I decided that to form my own opinion, I had to play. So what did I do? I dug my PS4 out of my closet, and updated Destiny (never got the dawning update). I proceeded to play two games, I was completely done after the first, but because it was the first time using a controller over a M&K in three months, I went in for another game. This time I played well, and my opinion was formed, so here goes. Matchmaking is abysmal: Not sure if nobody is playing or not, but I've never seen matchmaking in Destiny this bad. Nothing has seemed to change in the primary game. I tried out some auto rifles, tried out my baby (Hawkmoon), and tried out a scout rifle. Nothing really stood out, and I fell back upon the Clever Dragon, which felt as good as ever. Special weapons were royally -blam!-ed. The solution to "making primaries great again" should not have been to destroy the special category. Not only this, but I was killed by 100% sidearms from the special weapon category. I know all of what I said has been said a hundred times already, just thought the opinions of an inactive player might be more impactful, and may shed some light as to why so many of us haven't been playing Destiny.
