  • Literally all they had to do was tweak the clever dragon and shotguns or preferably buff other primaries but instead we got this garbage.

      • I just year 1 back. The only thing i saw that was wrong with the year 1 meta was thorn and shot package. Also the complete absence of auto rifles but other than that everyone was using different loadouts. I miss the good old days of use my vex and just having fun. [spoiler]sorry for being one of those "i want year 1 back" cucks[/spoiler]

        sidearm use in trials up 50% shtogun use in trials down about 50% that kind of covers it Oh and of course the wormwood has more kills than any other weapon so far this weekend in Trials. Bungie has such a handle on the game....

                • For normal PVP (control) this statement is not correct, the amount of kills due to sidearms is still less than that of the shotguns before the patch, we have now roundabout 14 % of kills by sidearms now and 11 % by snipers and shotguns, before the patch we have had ca. 19 % kills by shotguns and 8 % by snipers, so [b] one shot to kill[/b] weapons were dominating normal pvp before the patch. Was this situation really better? With sidearms you have to land several shots on your opponent to get a kill, the Matador was a secure and safe one shot kill from the same distance. [url=http://guardian.gg/en/weapon-stats?platform=2&start=2017-01-01&end=2017-02-19&mode=10&activity=0]stats by guardian.gg[/url] Only in the very special game mode Trials sidearms have replaced shotguns in the amount of kills but even in the very similar game mode Elimination snipers are still the dominating weapon type. Why differ these two similar game types in their weapon usage? Could it be that the skill gap between the teams in Trials is just to large, so that the better teams will dominate anyway either with sniper and shotguns or sniper and sidearm as combination or any other combination of weapons?

                    • Not to mention that Bungie continued to fail at separating PvP and PvE and not only broke health regen on accident, but broke it for both game modes. This is annoying for PvP (as some classes really badly need health regen) but this is also massive for PvE. Red Death is now officially useless. Life Support is useless. Cauterize, the entire Voidlock subclass, and Transfusion are all completely useless. (And to be honest and fair, the Hungering Blade nerf was completely uncalled for in the first place) They also turned the PvP landscape from an aggressive, fast-paced game with one overused weapon to a passive, campy game with one overused weapon.

                      • All they need to do is drop the special ammo nerf. All I've seen in Trials is sidearms or icebreaker. Rest of the patch is ok. Bladedancer needs a buff.

                      • Yeah, I can live with Sidearms too. I think the ammo needs to be reset to 1-2 extra mags after every death but I like the meta. Using my primary mostly and special has become what it says, Special. Replacing one weapon with another was bound to happen. People will drift to what has the best TTK and the best ease of use. But Hand Cannons feel strong again and I can finally use one, scouts are actually useful from the air and afar. Pulses are strong and there are a couple auto rifles that really work. It's a solid mix so far. I'm happy with the changes. The healing effects need to be overturned but other than that I'm happy with the meta. Makes me rethink the strategy.
