2 step certification will not affect your companion app, you will not need to remove it. I'd just like a bit more clarification on what issue you are encountering please. Are you using Wifi or cellular data?

Okay so the app crashes when you try to log in using your PSN account. Could you please first close the app completely in your iPhone then Delete the App Content Database then Clear Cache please. After doing that could you open the App go to settings in the App (the app settings are at the bottom of the menu) then select User Settings from there please disable Hardware Accelerated Web Views then close the app then open it and try signing in again. Okay please leave Hardware Accelerated Web Views disabled, please fully close the app now could you please try putting your phone in Airplane mode then connect it to WiFi now open the app and try signing in again.

Can you please click Unlink next to your phone under "Linked Devices" then try signing in on your phone again.

Unfortunately all I can suggest now is you uninstall the app and re-install it or try signing in to a different item manger and see if you are having a PSN account issue or just a Companion app issue.
