Special ammo is now lost upon death, per the hotfix notes this morning. Can you post a video that shows you starting a Crucible match without special ammo? https://www.bungie.net/en/News/Article/45661/7_Destiny-Hotfix---21417

Confirmed. Shotgun starts at 7 on game start. On death, all special ammo (at least for the shotgun erases) Got the shock of a lifetime this AM on that.. Went for my invective shotgun, no ammo. Looks like everyone is using pistols to play crucible now.
