Use your brains, guys. (Bladedancer "nerf")

About this whole bladedancer nerf and everyone crying about it makes me realize how this community has little critical thinking skills. Lets think about this. What kills a bladedancer most while trying to kill a guardian? A shotgun critical blast to your head/melee and a lot of the times it doesnt work. So. Now that shotguns will barely have ammo and they can't critical.. What stops a bladedancer from swiping a whole team in close proximity(They are very hard to team shoot) blinking and or double jumping and on top of that regent health every kill.(Unlike the cool down on the similar sunbreaker perk) Point is with all the changes to the crucible sandbox Bungie saw a potential problem and everyone should actually start looking at this for what it is: an indirect bladedancer buff because now it will be significantly harder to shut you down(same with stormcaller and sunbreaker)

  • A decent bladedancer with a good activation will be very hard to stop.. They are even hard to take out now... hard to outplay with a shotgun(cant jump, no crit etc), sidearms don`t have a chance, sniper is very unlikely, fusion rifles probably won`t cut it either because of charge time and how they work. Players will also have less special ammo. All in all, i think bladedancers will find arcblade back in the mix.

    • Agreed, BD main, problem was only shotguns , now no shotguns , no problems.

      • There is one problem though, but first let me say that I barely use Bladedancer since I already find it to be a very weak super compared to others. Now, you said this will not be too bad since they did those adjustments to shotguns, but... the problem is that, this was not done to other roaming supers. With the exception of gunslinger (which the only other roaming super for hunters) Titans and Warlocks have very strong roaming supers, in all fairness it takes 2 shotguns to the head to kill a sunbreaker and you can't even use a shotgun to kill a stormcaller since if you were close enough to shotgun one you are probably already dead. So my point is, if they did this knowing that this will not really affect bladedancers much, why havent they done the same for the others? Sunbreakers with cauterize have a very similar function that blades with hunger, maybe a similar solution would have been more acceptable? Like I said, sunbreakers and storms are much harder to kill than blades IMO, still dont understand why they went and only nerf blades? Well I know, they have no idea on how the crucible works, I am more convinced about this after watching them play yesterday

        • no man, i'm sorry to say it, they have the lowest shields and are so weak.... i usually kill them with handcannon and move backwards... Hammer titans take 2 swipes from a blade yet one hammer can kill it across the map.... one kill from a titan completely regens health immediately. Blade is gone man and it's been gone since early year 2. I play warlock, so this is a non-biased opinion.

          • After thinking about it for a while, yeah this is probably the reason. Pretty difficult to deal with Blade with only Primary.

            • You dont have any idea of what you said: First of all where did you get the idea that kill a blade dancer in group its difficult? Just two guys shooting with primaries at the same time is more than enought to do the job this is because the blade dancer cant evade using the hits to move in map like before the last stupid patch and the absurd armor makes it easy to fall. When you say that hungering blade will recover an amount of health instead of health regeneration you forget that the "life bar" has 3 blocks the lowes one IS HEALTH the other 2 are SHIELD so if the update comes literally youre going to get ONLY the lowest block of the "life bar" instead of the full bar wich is stupid. In this point the critical of shotguns is irrelevant because when I killed a BD with the shotgun-mele combo I never maked a crit with the shotgun. And to do the double tap on blade dancers say bye to blink because a tard decided that it was op and needed a nerf wich came in radar.

              • What about sun breaker getting full health after every kill? What about void lock slapping someone for health? No super, doesn't even need to kill. It is a silly change regardless of how the changes play out.

                • What I fail to understand is why it takes 2-3 swipes of blade to kill other supers barring golden gun whilst every other super can pretty much shut down a blade in one hit barring the longer ttk of the stormcaller.

                    • I tried to explain this to someone the other day to no avail. Just because it wasn't complained about in the current sandbox doesn't mean it wouldn't have been an issue in the coming sandbox assuming none of these changes were implemented. But maybe the wounds were a bit to fresh at the time, and the tears a little to salty still.

                      A Nerf is a Nerf, I get what you're saying and get that there are alternatives to use in that sub, but still that subclass (and HoS) needed a buff(especially in pve), one person (ONE) found a problem with it who could actually do something about it. I use BD in PVE, and its bad. Don't hold me down, tie my hands, and say I still have a head to fight with....over exaggerating...but yeah.

                      • I dunno It's not all that difficult to atleast trade with a blade dancer these days and you don't necessarily need a shotgun to do so. I don't see these changes doing anything but hurting blade dancer. Though I do hope I'm wrong and that it ends up being a bit of a buff like you said. Guess we'll just have to wait and see.

                            • I understand you're logic but I'm also concerned about pve not just pvp. Bladedancer was already pretty frail to use at times now with this nerf there's no telling what to expect.
