Completely unneccesary, I'm a day 1 player myself, and I've kept a few of my favorites, but if your vault is full, then it's obvious that every weapon you hold for longer than 2 seconds becomes your favorite, vault space has been doubled many times, the problem is you, not the vault Hell, you even get 3 characters that can hold 10 items per slot, so again, completely unneccesary Edit: let me clarify, I'm not opposed to more vault space, nor did I say I was, you people are ridiculous, I'm opposed to people complaining about it, I wouldn't complain about there being more, but there's a lot more people that dont have overflowing vaults than there is that do, vault space Isn't I any way a big issue in the game

  • Do you have figures proving that more people dont need vault space than do? Its easy to make a statement and call it fact with no evidemce.

  • It's common sense, if it were a real issue, more posts would be made about it

  • Woah I've probably seen 5 in past week dude. Either you're not on the forums a lot or you're plagued by selective sight.

I did a general bnet search of 'vault space' and it only turned up 4 topics, all from last month, and not counting this one
I've browsed the forums on a daily basis since Destiny came out
• Well thanks for offering your opinion on the matter. The unfortunate fact, however, is that it doesn't matter any more or less than op's or anyone else's. You might think it's completely unnecessary, but it's quite obvious many people disagree. I haven't found a legitimate reason to not keep anything, and to not ask for more vault space, yet. It's seems to me that the people against it are more preoccupied with telling people to play the way they do, than with the actual issue at hand.

  •
vault space has been doubled many times
And the amount of gear to collect has quadrupled, many times. Should I have to delete my full Taken sets to make room for my full Dawning set? No, of course not. Should I have to delete original Queens Wrath gear like The Supremacy, to make room for the Ex Machina? That's just ludicrous. What about VoG armor and weapons? Should I delete those too, just to make room for WotM gear? Ridiculous! What about year 1 Iron Banner gear, including my baby Efrideet Spear, to make room for year 3 Banner gear? Why should I delete my year 2 Banner gear, which is still relevant, to make room for year 3 gear? The answer is, in a loot based shooter, I shouldn't have to. Yet, I have had to. This is not how it should work. Low vault space is also hurting BNG. Players have stopped playing because they no longer have room for new things, so why bother getting them? I am in the top 1% for play time in this game, and I didn't even come in till TDB, but even I haven't played Destiny seriously in weeks, months. My time is instead spent on BO3 zombies and competitive Overwatch. And I'm not the only one. Not enough space is not the only reason why Destiny is lacking at the moment, but it is a major factor. #TitanMasterRace

Why do you bother keeping armor you can just get at a kiosk? And I understand raid sets, but every set of endgame raid armor doesn't take up your entire vault And why do you keep every raid weapon? Again, I understand favorites, but God damn dude

  • Because I'm a collector in a game meant for collecting. And unfortunately, I don't keep all the raid stuff, because I don't have room for it. I only keep the stuff I can no longer get. And the only armor you can get from kiosks is exotics and holiday masks, and I have them dismantled already. You can't get things like the Dawning or Taken set from a kiosk #TitanMasterRace

  • Whether you want to admit it or not, Samaritan Code is right. Increased vault space being unnecessary is your opinion. Just because you dont need it, doesnt mean others dont. I too am a day one player and i find it completely necessary to fix the storage issue. I dont find a weapons balance patch necessary, but others do so its become a common thing just like increasing vault space. The argument that the game doesnt need it because YOU dont need it, is short-minded and not a valid argument im afraid. Thats like me claiming that nobody needs car insurence because i dont own a car

Car insurance and storage space are two very different things There isn't enough year 2-3 gear worth using for there to be a legitimate reason for needing a vault expansion, regardless of my opinion, vault space is a rare issue, non of my friends in 3 years have had a problem with it There's a reason you only see vault space topics like this once a month
thanks for making a real reply rather than an insult or cheesey joke
• Very different yet the metaphor still works perfectly. Its not about whats "worth using" to collectors. Its about the uniqueness of the gear and completing sets. Destiny is a loot based game that fails to provide adequate storage for said loot time and time again. Even a kiosk to show completion would be a welcome fix to the storage problem Your experience isnt everybodys experience. I hear plenty of people talking about lack of space. Friends, raid groups, the tons of people on here, etc. If you are only seeing one post a month about storage space then id have to assume that your not on the forums that often because it comes up quite frequently. It has remained one of the most requested fixes since Destiny's launch. The only thing that is requested more than storage is remastered raids.

It doesn't work perfectly, it's completely unrelated to the topic I use the forums almost every day, and a straight up bnet search reveals that, counting this one, there have only been 5 vault space related topics I the past 2 months

  • I feel like metaphors are more useful when the person knows what one is...sorry bout that. Trust me, it was just fine And really? i check em out maybe once a week and i always find 3 to 4 when ever im on. Yeah its always the same. People asking. People arguing but never having a good reason against it. Honestly havent seen a valid reason to oppose an increase of space at all. No one can seem to offer up a better reason than it doesnt help them specifically. People tend to forget that this game is a community, not every change needs to have a dramatic impact on ya

  • Read my edit if you haven't yet, and personally, I'd prefer bungie add a new exotic than vault space, my weapon and armor sections both have at least 30 pieces of gear that I've kept as favorites since launch, but God damn, some people keeping full sets of armor and weapons they probably don't even like is just ridiculous

  • Thats what collecting is. You take the good with the bad to complete it. Im not sure of your demographic but think of pokemon. Some play to battle, some play to catch em all. Both are achievements in their own right. This mentality applies to destiny as well. Some people are casual and play to play. Some select few play to compete. And some play to collect. The difference in the games here though is that in pokemon u have room for all 800 of them. And if u dont want to have them all on hand there is a way u having them is recorded so the achievement isnt lost. That is what destiny is missing. No, we dont use a lot of what we have. But a large part of that is because year one gear was made unusable. I would honestly delete all of my VoG gear if there was a method of the game knowing i had obtained it and could retrieve it if i felt nostalgic. A raid kiosk would be welcomed. The only thing holding bungie back is that it doesnt make them silver I will have to disagree about the complaining though. If people didnt complain then the game would never get changed.
