The previous head of the Department of energy was Dr. Ernest Moniz, Take a look at his education
Moniz attended Boston College, where he received his Bachelor of Science summa cum laude in physics. He received his PhD in theoretical physics from Stanford University in 1972.
Now heres rick perry trumps nominee for secretary of the department of energy.
He graduated in 1972 with a Bachelor of Science in Animal science.
So for the department of energy we are going from a brilliant nuclear physicist to guy who studied domesticated animals.
But don't worry im sure the man who wanted to get rid of the department of energy and until recently didn't even know what the DOE did will make a great head of the department.
and besides its not like the department of energy does anything important
The United States Department of Energy (DOE) is a Cabinet-level department of the United States Government concerned with the United States' policies regarding energy and safety in handling nuclear material. Its responsibilities include the nation's nuclear weapons program, nuclear reactor production for the United States Navy, energy conservation, energy-related research, radioactive waste disposal, and domestic energy production.
