The previous head of the Department of energy was Dr. Ernest Moniz, Take a look at his education
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ernest_Moniz
Moniz attended Boston College, where he received his Bachelor of Science summa cum laude in physics. He received his PhD in theoretical physics from Stanford University in 1972.
Now heres rick perry trumps nominee for secretary of the department of energy.
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rick_Perry
He graduated in 1972 with a Bachelor of Science in Animal science.
So for the department of energy we are going from a brilliant nuclear physicist to guy who studied domesticated animals.
But don't worry im sure the man who wanted to get rid of the department of energy and until recently didn't even know what the DOE did will make a great head of the department.
and besides its not like the department of energy does anything important
The United States Department of Energy (DOE) is a Cabinet-level department of the United States Government concerned with the United States' policies regarding energy and safety in handling nuclear material. Its responsibilities include the nation's nuclear weapons program, nuclear reactor production for the United States Navy, energy conservation, energy-related research, radioactive waste disposal, and domestic energy production. Perry would have been an acceptable choice for Department of Agriculture, that's about it. The fact that he didn't know what the DOE did prior to being nominated for the job speaks volumes. He thought he'd be a global ambassador for the American oil and gas industry.
-
You also forgot his 2.0 gpa and the fact that he wanted to end the dept of energy... until realizing recently what it was and went back on his word.

It's funny how all the conservatives seem to hate political posts when they're like these, but instigate it more whenever the bias is in their favour.
