Yeah. You're trying way too hard to push your narrative. The bounty is based on ammo availability. Literally it.

  • I am trying to make aware what I believe to be an issue. As far as ammo availability goes, what do you say about sidearms then? You spawn with ammo everytime you die. Also, If I wear fusion boots and chest, I spawn in the start of the match with 17 in my Stellar Vestige, and I get 20 more when I pick up 1 box. Ammo is irrelevant in PvP unless you are using a high-impact sniper of course. I do appreciate your Stellar grammar, though. See what I did there ;)

  • And I, as well as many others in the comment section, are letting you know you're jumping to conclusions and manipulating data in a way to fit your anti shotgun narrative. You're trying to get technical and over thinking it. You always spawn with primary, special comes from boxes every two minutes, heavy comes once, thus the point value for each kill. Literally. It.

  • Trying to get technical? That's correct, that is how you have a debate. Use facts and data. What data are you suggesting I am manipulating? What anti-shotgun narrative? The original post is in reference to the flawed scoring system of that particular bounty. Please re-read the original post.

  • You only mentioned shotguns in your OP, nothing about fusions, snipers, or sideaems. You're biased. It's not a debate. The scoring is the way it is because of ammo availability. Everyone understands this except you. I'm not the only one telling you this. I'm done here.

  • I mentioned shotguns only because they are the most common among secondaries. I don't understand why you are getting so mad. Chill dude. I see your point about ammo availability, but you and I both know this is not a problem in the crucible. If ammo was in short supply for secondaries you would hear people crying about it. And what do you mean "Everyone understands this except you"? If you look at the comments below you will see that is not the case at all. You seem like you're trying to pick a fight, or you came into this discussion mad already.

    But how many kills can you reasonably expected to get with ~20 rounds from a sidearm (base before perks), compared to how many rounds in your primary (which also refill on death). Not to mention your primaries have a more effective range to target, which can conserve ammo as well. The scoring is based on a general scale of the expected kill count potential throughout the typical course of a match.

  • Well, that's easy. You can expect to get at least one kill with that many rounds, perhaps 2 if you have good aim or the enemy is weak already. This would keep with the average 1 k/d that is in the crucible now. Either way we're both talking about ideal situations. You and I both know that secondaries are the most used weapon in PvP. Let's not pretend like they're not.

Fact: Primaries account for almost 2/3rds of kills in the last 2 IBs. No reason to suspect the other IBs would be far off from this figure.

  • Actually....primaries are consistently used more. The numbers are out there. Primaries consistently tally @1/3 or more of the kills....while specials consistently come in closer to 1/4 and 1/5 depending on the mode. Myself, I may be do 2 or 3 to 1 primary vs special. I've often gone entire matches without a special kill, simply because I was doing well enough playing a longer ranged game with hc or pulse.
