Not quite.
Its based on the amount of ammo available.
You have lots of primary, hence you should have lots of primary kills.
You have less secondary, hence you should have slightly less secondary kills.
You have even less heavy, hence you should have maybe 3-4 heavy kills on a good heavy drop.
Seems simple to me.

Less secondary ammo? I count the times on one hand I don't get killed by a matador.

Edited by LostAscendant: 1/20/2017 9:36:15 AMShould! there should be less secondary ammo. Considering my primary has about 200 rounds and my secondary has about 8-10. You can do the math.
-
Thank you, I was going to say the same thing myself.
-
Gotta say, you can go a whole match, get top of room, and not fire a single shot of primary.
-
Correct, but that's map design. You can run round anomaly or cauldron and just use shotty. Its not that hard and its good fun. Go try that on first light or shores of time and you wont have quite so much fun.
-
True, probably not the way it was designed you would have thought. Blame most of the maps which promote CQB.
-
There in lies the issue. They should bring back old halo style maps honestly. The maps were open and cqb friendly. Areas inside areas, so to speak.
-
Correct, most of the time the map promotes a certain style of play.
-
Correction: Most of the time the map should promote a certain play style.
-
Edited by LostAscendant: 1/20/2017 9:39:35 AMWhat? They do, first light promotes one style, Anomaly promotes another. There are more maps that promote the later style more than the former. No should about it really.
-
Yes I agree with you but most people don't change their style of play based on the map. They play what they know.
-
Yeah, some matches I'll have more shotgun kills than primary, some almost all primary. I never consciously choose to favor one or the other, it just depends on the map and the circumstances (I'm getting rushed, or they're camping back in sniper lanes). Last night I had a match with zero primary kills, which kind of shocked me when I saw it in the boxscore, since I primarily go primary and only pull out the shotgun for cqc.

Agreed. I've mainly used a pulse rifle in this game for both pvp and pve (with exceptions of course). Their overuse is, I believe, due to map size and imbalance in its long range game. It's damage fall off is an issue. I have an aegis that has ridiculous range (think scout) because of the perks. Yet, I can be three banged by a clever dragon at that range that has no range perks at all.
should
That's the key word in your reply.

Edited by LostAscendant: 1/19/2017 5:43:36 PMIts what is missing in your post, I say should as I don't really know but that's how it appears. Your post appears to show something you have discovered that you seem to present as fact. Non of it is fact, you don't know any more than me.
