It entirely ignores a whole ton of things that cause poor people to be perpetually poor. Not everyone is blessed with the same potential and conditions to succeed. If you come from a poor, black, single-parent home and went to a shitty, underfunded, overcrowded school and lived in a poor, crime-ridden area, that's a whole lot working against you in order to overcome it and not be poor, yourself. Poor people aren't poor because they're bad with money; poor people are poor because they DON'T HAVE MONEY. That's how being poor works. I have no problem being wrong. I'm wrong on a lot of things. That's how we learn. But pretending "poor people are poor because they're bad with money" is a valid argument is a waste of everyone's time.
