Dear People on bungie.net,
Stop coming on the DESTINY forums say destiny is dead, boo hoo you dont like destiny anymore just leave honestly if you think its dead then talk to the MILLIONS of people who still play, if i see anymore "Destiny is Dead" post im gonna flip. Its not dead you just dont like it. And for people who say "Im playing division lets talk about it" go to the "Other Games" forum its there for a reason. Destiny is not dead, so get over it.
Edit: People who think im mad or salty, im not. I LOVE destiny, and i care and worry about its future. If your gonna mock me or say i salty, please just leave.

Most of the people quitting the game aren't quitting because they don't like the game itself. They actually love the game so much that they are quitting in an attempt to have its faults repaired. Kind of like workers going on a strike. They are tired of the way Bungie treats its community. All of the complaints about the actual game aside, most people are more angry at the way Bungie handles these situations and interacts with its community.

Actually Destiny isn't dead yet but it is dying rapidly. Dr. I can't get a pulse. Millions of players? LOL. Check Destiny Tracker's home page for the actual numbers. Since Bungie released that stupid weekly update a few weeks ago, the average daily crucible players have dropped from over 700,000 to 355,000 yesterday. 355,000 is the lowest in the history of the game to my knowledge. It's all right there for you to see at destinytracker.com. Just because you are still a Bungie dick rider doesn't mean the game isn't dying. It clearly is. Check my sources for the actual proof.

1 ReplyMost of the people come here to complain because they WANT to love and enjoy Destiny, but they see and understand the massive issues with the game that hold it back from being amazing. And Destiny might not be dead, but it is dying. Bungie have never released the number of players who still actively play however I can personally guarantee you they're not into the millions. Millions bought the game but the constant, overpriced DLC coupled with the many significant issues and the fact the DLC dries up in a couple months have whittled the player base down to a fraction of what it was. I Hate Everything actually made a really good, comprehensive video on Destiny, I suggest you watch it.

3 Replies* Hovering around 30th place on Twitch with often less than 5K viewers. * Few of the big original Twitch streamers are still playing the game. * Friends lists are empty on Destiny players. * The xbox recruitment section is pretty dead (I would assume that it's a tad better for PS players). There used to be a ton of "posted < 1 minute ago" threads - now it's more like "full", because the thread has been up so long, or "5 minutes ago". * This forum has slowed down a lot. * Alexa stats have gone down, significally. * Not that Bungie has ever released really "meaty" DLC but ROI was by far the DLC with the least amount of longetivity. * Fake promises of shorter weapon balancing cycles. Yet here we are, with another long meta. * Lied about how MT's would effect event cycles. * We've had one proper PvE event in + 2 years. And to be fair, that event relied on re-cycled material. * They've consistently dumbed down every aspect of the game, killing the longetivity but at no point adding other forms of incentives.

It is dead... I played once this week and none of my friends or clan mates were playing it, they where on other games... i also sat in matchmaking for at least 10 minutes stuck at 3 players. bungie messed up bad.

1 ReplyWho gives a shit, kid? It's just a video game and none of this will matter very shortly. If you like it, great. But don't get defensive of a game company that doesn't know or care about you. The forums are here for people to vent, and all points and opinions are valid in their own right. I'm personally glad it's not entirely fluff posts, and people are finally pointing out the problems with this game and especially Bungle's handling of its PR.

It isn't dead but my friends list is empty when I play. I could use LFG, or I could just get the game my friends migrated to and spend time with the people I know in person. I really like Destiny, but by no means am I keen on playing it without friends.

I don't know if it was activisions or bungies fault, if it weren't for the added cut content like "taken king" and stuff we could've been playing destiny 2 by now. [spoiler]potato[/spoiler]
