Just a clarification on chest armor for subclasses
What exactly does the chest armor do when it says it "gives increased armor when using X subclass." Do primaries do less damage? Do you take less damage from melee or grenades? I'm very lost on this. And I'm talking PvP wise. Pretty sure it works for enemies in PvE but does it do anything for PvP? I run it with high armor and still get KO by nades and other annoying things like that.
On that note is the "less damage by X burn" better?

Lol I'm been trying to look up the same info. The lack of info prevents you from building an optimal armor set. You can't even pick between the two selectable perks aside from guessing. It doesn't appear to adjust the amount of armor within the subclass stats either. This is one among many hidden stats in this game that can limit your ability especially in pvp. Only think you can do is hope to find a youtuber that's ran tests to determine its usefulness. Why do this Bungie
