America was not founded as a Christian nation

Christians for decades have been rewriting history to fit their false narrative that America was founded as a Christian nation that created it's law from biblical laws. I could explain in great detail why this is wrong, but I'll simply cite one single piece of information to discredit this entire school of thinking: " Art. 11. As the Government of the United States of America is not, in any sense, founded on the Christian religion; as it has in itself no character of enmity against the laws, religion, or tranquillity, of Mussulmen; and, as the said States never entered into any war, or act of hostility against any Mahometan nation, it is declared by the parties, that no pretext arising from religious opinions, shall ever produce an interruption of the harmony existing between the two countries." This is the 11th Article from the treaty of Tripoli passed by Senate while Adams was in office. Not a single member of the senate voted against this treaty, and not only that this was during a period of time where all founders of the nation were still alive, and in office. The argument of, "well maybe it was too long and the legislators over looked this" does not apply, as the treaty is brief, and only about a page long. Well, it's that easy to disprove the claim that America was founded as a "Christian nation." It only takes one citation to completely destroy a false narrative. America is a secular nation, has always been, and will continue to be, and if Christians dislike that they doesn't have a special privileges in government tough luck, and suck it up. The reality is that America was founded on principles of natural rights, republicanism, secularism, and freedom of thought. Ideas that came out of the French Revolution and the enlightenment, and yes, even atheistic and deistic thought. Not that of the Bible. No where in any founding documents is Jesus ever bought up anywhere, and in fact in the Constitution it directly states that the government will not and cannot form a state religion.
