Festival of the Lost...Opportunity
Hey Bungie,
I really enjoyed FotL last year. I got a couple exclusive items that I still have this time around.
This time around though, I got absolutely nothing of interest, except the Lost Broom. But why get excited about that, when it will be gone after November 8th.
I think your choice to severely limit what we can get without giving you money to buy Treasures of the Lost, was an insult to the players, and basically a slap in the face. Now I have [b]10 more days[/b] to listen to the stupid music and see all the purple candles at the tower.
Next year for FotL, be a bit less [b]"Tricky"[/b] & maybe a bit more [b]"Treaty"[/b].

I honestly haven't been able to bring myself to play Destiny since the second day of the "festival". There should of been a way to grind for the new masks, or consumables. I can understand a F2P going this route, not a game that I've paid and paid some more for.

3 RepliesCosmo lterally had a copy and paste response. Of course they only respond to the post about the festival.... I use to play the game so much. But now I'm only finding more and more distance from it. It's just a giant cash grab at this point is how it feels. I supported them for so long. But somethings gotta give.

I agree 100%...remember last year you could just continue to farm candy and try getting the stuff but this year there's literally like 4 things you can get from farming candy and they are a shader and last year's consumables ...I mean, really ?...you put the items you absolutely know everyone wants behind a terrible RNG drop rate (1%, proved by multiple people) that you are forced to pay money for! If that doesn't scream greedy ass money grab idk what does!....screw that "oh the micro transactions pay for future "free" events" garbage! Really? So why everytime there's a "free event" everyone is forced to pay real money for the items that are included that you know we will qant! This says ALOT about bungie and what they are about! I will certainly think twice next time I'm standing at ever verse considering buying something! You have rubbed alot of people the wrong way this time bungie, and it's complete bullshit, and you know it.

The candy bags last year could lead to better chances of something to keep. This year you just get some of the last year junk, literally the white level stuff you usually discard. I understand the need to use the silver market, but at least leave something for those to grind, essentially using time instead of money. Something as simple as a token from each candy bag and every 10/20/50 or so tokens you can get another treasure. After wasting so much time to get additional treasures and still not getting that shell or speeder and time starts to run out, there will be the surge to try and get them before it is all over. But, this time, once the quest line was done, there is no purpose to even wear a mask, as your rewards will end up being lowered and so what if I can come back with bats, again.

8 RepliesCall it like it is FRAUD. Last year they swore up and down that Microtransactions would be supporting live events. Now we see that was a lie and Live events are simply supporting Microtransactions.

My problem is this event this year is pointless as hell I've made 2 videos an commented on briar an tefty teft videos here my issue. 1 bungie hypes this event up with a trailer an showing all great loot u can get which is locked behind a pay wall while yes u can earn up to 3 free boxes not everybody has 3 guardians on destiny an plus the boxes are rng based anyway. 2. The candy bags this year are pointless an don't let u obtain the masks like they did last year or even the new consumables. U get a shader an 2 old things. why not add the new masks an consumables to the bags when u fill them up?. it even says on the bag 2016 festivals of lost so why we get 2015 stuff. 3. The quests were the exact same as last year aside from one an u couldn't even wear new masks on missions aside from 1. how does bungie expect this event to last 2 weeks when it's dead within 2 days?. They said it was bigger an better this year but yet only thing bigger an better is people's wallets an how much they spend. 4. Even Eva selling masks they don't rotate it's the same ones each day. Bungie needs learn to balance this have ppl pay with there play time.not there wallet. an have them earn the loot an grind for it the players who enjoy your game. 5. All bungie has to do is Tues on reset add the 6 new consumables to the candy satchel bags an the new masks. then add the ghost shells an new sparrow In pvp drops as reward like they did with the shader. All in all yes we got new shaders an cool sparrow which Is going away but it's just decorations for 2 weeks that's it I agree with u an maybe on reset bungie will fix this it's not a good way am hope u unknown player more console make videos about It

If they want us to participate in rng treasures, don't you think we should get the courtesy of know the odds we are up against, even casinos, and lotto let us know the odds up front...

2 RepliesHow exactly did we get less this year? This time around we got 4 shaders (compared to 0 shaders last year), 2 emblems (compared to 0 emblems last year), 2 sparrows (compared to 0 sparrows last year), a ghost shell (compared to no ghost shells last year), just as many emotes, and just as many masks. I have a feeling that most of these FoTL complainers were not here for last year's event.

4 RepliesI agree with you. Bungie seriously. Advertise stuff that you know...you can get that's maybe not locked behind a possibly 50$ plus paywall. I'm so disappointed at this years festival. I thought we were supposed to be celebrating lost comrades, not making everyones wallet join them. Also the live team...i respect what they do, but they personally have really been dropping the ball in some areas with these live events.

Honestly they should shut down the Festival, it'll be a week in 2 days and everyone's burnt out on it. There's no point for it to last any longer, at this point in time i'd actually probably have more fun in an IB full of redbar cheats.

2 RepliesMost of the people defending these micro-transactions are the ones who spent upwards of 50 bucks trying to get the skull mask or full taken gear last year, or the flaming polygon mask this year... who me? No, I spent to much on the SRL sparrows. Do I regret it? No. my Voidstreak is bae.

1 ReplyI think an improvement to the Festival would be weapons and/or gear that only be attained during this event. A halloween-themed weapon could be a fun item to grind for. Just food for thought.

Festival of the screw our fans and all they've done in monetary terms were gonna add a pay wall and f all out fans in the butt anyways because we want more money, and we know their dumb enough to feed into it.

And they're most certainly optional for those who want to indulge in them and those who don't. (Only silver I ever used was what was gifted to me and one $5 purchase this FoTL.) My biggest gripe is the entire microtransaction system being based around RNG loot boxes. It probably won't change anytime soon because it's more lucrative for Bungie and Activision to have players pay for a chance at getting something they want instead of buying it outright. Edit: of the 3 loot boxes I managed to snag, 1 from the quest and 2 from the $5, I got ONE mask (SIVA) and 8 of the pointless spawn in modifiers. For all intents and purposes it's helped sway me to never purchase silver for this game ever again.

Did quests on my 3 chars got 3 masks. meh. Definitely not spending money buying boxes. Would have been nice to have some other avenues of earning boxes.

2 RepliesMy only issue is for this event is if its gonna be 2 weeks long, make it so we get the chests for completing a daily quest or leveling up like overwatch does. 3 free chests, 1 per character isn't fun nor isn't worth it. Because if i want something from the chest, chances are im gonna have to spend money to get it and thats not good what so ever.

1 ReplyDestiny's very purpose is to earn more loot, thats why many people play along with other reasons. Now making the majority of the content, the substance, of a live event purchasable rather than earnable simply goes against the whole reason people play this game.
