The problem with Big Clans

I am looking for a solution to help players like myself and the "Clan Setup" structure. The problem: I am a 388 Light Titan/Hunter/Warlock. I don't have very many friends online. The ones that I do have belong to my old clans, (Which means they won't help because I am no longer part of that clan) or are busy with their current clan mates and thus have no time to help me out. Either way I am SOL come Tuesday - Monday in terms of RAIDs or Trials. The problem that I've seen and had throughout my times with many clans from many games was that, when they were growing everything was fine. People would help each other out and things are great, but after a certain amount of growth; people tend to form their own "Clicks" within the clan(s) and then people such as myself are left out once again... My biggest frustration is that though I am not a bad PVE/PVP Player, I consider myself not great either, and with the current form that Bungie continues to pair people in (trials lets say) it's extremely difficult for me to go up against players that are Diamond or gold tier ELO Players. WHICH AS OF LATE SEEMS TO BE THE ONLY KINDS OF PLAYERS PLAYING TRIALS NOWADAYS... Bungie refuses to fix this broken system and I hate using LFG because those kind of people are in it for themselves. Yesterday I tried running the Heroic Raid 5 different times, with 5 Different Raid Groups. It didn't matter, no matter how hard I tried to get people to help and to focus, they just wouldn't get it right. And it's very frustrating. I have yet to finish a single heroic RAID ALL THE WAY THROUGH, not because I am bad but the people from LFG are a true coin toss. Bungie should have skill based pairing and should implement a way to help you pair up for the RAIDS as well. I am truly frustrated at the fact that I can't move forward because it seems that I just can't find any good players to RAID/or do TRIALS with. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE this game, but HATE the way Bungie manages it and how it ignores the little people. Does anyone have any suggestions? I am a husband, a father, and full time employee. Usually I can only get on from 9 or 10 pm PDT to 12-1 am PDT on weekends I can stay up longer usually until 4am PDT. I am currently in a clan but the leader like many others, and I can't blame him usually only looks out for himself.
