Sometimes, that is not the point though.
What do you do if you are matched up against a better team with a 8-0 card.
You loose that match and you start over, until you get a team that is lesser than you. This is not what the spirit of competition is about.
Lets do it one better. If trials was designed so that the best players got to face each-other then there would be no such thing as a 3-5 K/D nor 70% win%. Why? You may ask. Well because if the people with those stats faced off against eachother they would more than likely be close to evenly matched and their stats would look more like 1.0 K/D 50% win%. Yes some people will always dominate, but real competition is not about wiping the floor with your opponent.
No real competition has numbers like that. The only reason that these "best" players can obtain such numbers is because most of the time they are fighting the average people that go into trials to do bounties.
This is also the only reason these "best" players can do carry runs.
Going flawless in Trials might be one of the hardest PVP challenges for an average player. However that does not mean it is in any way competitive and telling yourself and people around you that it is, does not make it any more so.
