At least give us an option to turn it off. But would it make the games more fun?

Terrible idea. It should motivate you to improve if they're poor. Nobody would take a game seriously in random matchmaking if they were off.
-
Those stats are for you to personally see. Not for others to decide if you are worth playing with.

Edited by wojo55: 10/27/2016 1:59:53 AMI like knowing I'm better then you. It feels good and makes the game feel even better play Mic use is way down very rarely do I see someone giving someone else shit for a bad k/d

Edited by Beefjerky007: 10/26/2016 5:57:24 PMYou should be able to see your stats, but you should be able to hide it from other players if you want. Overwatch is fantastic about not showing stats to other people, only your most-used heroes, most kills in one game, etc. There should be an option to share it, so you can choose whether or not you want to share it.
-
Get rid of it. I loved that people couldn't search for that crap in Titanfall.
-
It should be for personal use only.
-
Other people shouldn't be able to see any other person's stats.
-
Scoreboards during game should only show kills or points (like halo 2/3). Afterwards it should show kills, deaths, assists, etc.
-
No, because anyone who doesn't care or mind about stats won't look anyway, and those who want to can.
-
Does anyone actually care about kd?
-
Just do division It's simple
-
Never really cared, play games for fun, fps isn't my thing though so I don't really know the importance of these stats for a hardcore fps player.
-
I think win/loss ratio should be emphasized more than K/D
-
You shouldn't be able to see your teammates' k/d, but you should be able to see your own. It's a more valuable stat than people think. It depends on the game and gamemode though. In a game like Overwatch, I'm fine without my k/d being broadcasted, but in Halo, for example, I'm going for kills.
-
I like to see how I get better.
-
Nope, simply put if you don't want to know then don't look. Stats are useful for getting an idea of how well you are doing, even if others care about them you don't have to, also you can set yourself a target with you stats (in a way setting up a mini game)
-
Good because people can't judge you, bad because you can't have an idea of how to git gud
-
Differ between ranked and no instead.
-
FPS games that try to promote a more social, casual feel shouldn't track stats (or they should at least track them separately). Halo 5 is a good example of what not to do.
-
They need to reset monthly or quarterly. That's the only change necessary.
-
If you removing the K/D won't show us a player's base skill per-kill.
-
Your K/D kinda depends on your team as well. If you've got a good team, that are watching each other's backs, you're going to live longer. I'm a decent FPS Player, but everyone has bad games, and I've noticed that my K/D drops considerably when I'm playing with randoms that are to L33T for teamwork. I agree with the win/loss method... It's seems more useful, than K/D.
-
No K/D was one of the reasons Bad Company was so great.
-
Absolutely. That way people will actually help their team instead of thinking they're a god and rushing out into a crowd of six people, and then blaming the other players. I'm a horrible, so I usually try to support my team instead trying to snipe, and there are people who are the worst snipers and play a sniper anyways. Ever played TF2?
-
For the past two years I've stopped caring about k/d ratio. Halo Reach tricked me into thinking that I was a good Halo player!
-
You couldn't see those stats in Halo 3 with the exception of post match stats. That led to a much nicer gaming experience. Of course they had the website, but only try hards used it for the most part. I never cared for stats until Call of Duty told us it mattered with there leader boards and such.
