African American or Black?
Which of these terms do you use? Which term do you think should be used? Why are African Americans called "African Americans?" Are they not just black Americans? Am I a European American or jut a white American?
In my opinion, the label African American (which, by the way Blacks didn't want to be called) is simply a way to segregate people even more. The use of the term should stop.

3 RepliesAfrican American means born African but now American. They don't have African Americans in Europe. They have Europeans with African descent. Also in general I dislike saying black, or white. We are all members of the human race. Yes heritage is important in the identification of someone, it helps us describe appearance. But half our problem is that people want to be "equal" but still black or white.
