Do you guys agree with Derek?
He's PvP lead if you guys didn't know.
I just like how direct he is about this.

I've agreed with this since HoW. Lighthouse and hard raid are never designed for casual/average/bad/lazy players. They are for the top 1% and should remain that way.
-
Savage. I like it. He is right, you know. Only the best should make it to the lighthouse.

Does the kid replying realize that snipers are the worst they've been and that shotguns are becoming more popular and used? And that snipers are almost impossible to use when being shot except by a skilled player? Plus trials is an endgame activity not for everyone to get. What is the point of doing trials when it is easy af to go to lighthouse and everyone can go? It is meant for skilled players only and I agree with Derek 100%
I do disagree with paying for a carry though. That is just a waste of money for an rng chance of the gun you want, a stupid emblem and ornament
Edited by Church100: 10/23/2016 5:09:27 AMExcept that he kind of disproves his own point. If its not intended for average players to get there why don't they do something about carries? Or is it just average players who don't wish to sign up to a streamer's raffle etc or average players with a decent connection that its not intended for?

I like how a lot of the people here think cheaters are only in destiny.
-
What a little cry bitch

Edited by spankymebottom: 10/23/2016 3:02:16 PMI agree with this wholeheartedly. However... Bungie should stop pushing average players into the activity (ToO) by putting it as an achieve in the progress book. Can't have it both ways. I'm a filthy casual

Edited by josephclan: 10/23/2016 2:50:40 PMThat Andrew guy seems like a loser all he does is complain.
and he's 32+ years old
i have like 12 days played in trials and I have only ever seen one cheater. honestly, I believe majority of the "i couldnt go flawless because of cheaters" is just an excuse. Also, I played 17 trials matches this week and only saw 1 red bar
-
Well we kind of knew this already....
-
I've only been once and I agree.
-
Yep, completely agree.
-
Savage as -blam!- 😂

Edited by SGT BUTTONS: 10/23/2016 2:38:52 PMI'm not usually one to agree with Bungie devs, but Trials is fine the way it is. It is designed so only the best can go. THAT IS THE POINT. If you are a casual player that wants good drops, wait for Iron Banner. (Not to exclude those good players in IB) If anything, just modify the spawns so that teams swap Alpha and Bravo locations each round.
Only because some maps favor one spawn location over the other
#TeamDerek

Trials should stay the same, I'm no better than average and can't snipe! I've gone over 20 times
-
I agree fully. Cheaters excluded, Trials is fine the way it is.
-
I like chasing the lighthouse, it's fun. Went 8-1 last week, 7-1 yesterday. You just have to find a good team, work on communication, and keep at it.
-
It's the one "true competitive" facet of Destiny. One team wins, the other team loses. The game mode is "3v3 Elimination". Surely no one can be so dense as to think that everyone can/should make it to the Lighthouse?
-
Edited by la5tname: 10/23/2016 2:56:54 PMI couldn't agree with that guy more , going flawless is probably the most satisfying feeling i have had in this game . It should feel like a great achievement. I would imagine getting carried feels kind of greasy. It is such a poor excuse to blame lag and cheaters . I have been playing and going flawless since year one, very rarely have i seen legitimate cheating. 99% of my teams losses have been due to the other team simply being better than us . My suggestion? Practice regularly with your team and develop tactics depending on the loadout of the other team and use their flaws against them . 3 shotgunners ? Stay in long distance engagements . 3 snipers/scout riflers ? Be aggressive . Don't be a lone wolf , this isn't call of duty Rambo . You won't win unless you have good communication and patience.

Derek deserves a raise

Edited by darkdog244: 10/23/2016 12:30:49 PMI suck at trials never been to the lighthouse and I don't think there's anything wrong with only good players getting to go to the lighthouse
-
Even I've made it to lighthouse once and I'm BAD lol
-
Amen. It took me two years to go flawless. I can't do it regularly, it doesn't happen all the time. But the few times it has, I've felt like I earned it. That's the straight forward attitude people need. I paid for the game, and I appreciate that there's parts of the game I need to practice and work towards to reach.
-
-blam!-ing SAVAGE!
-
As a man who will never get to the lighthouse, I agree with Derek.

I hate the way people act regarding the slightest POV hiccups. Like the people who say "nice 100mb internet" because they've seen some cod youtuber moaning because they supposedly lost a gunfight because the person they were shooting had better Internet. You are not so elite that it'll make THAT much difference and if you were, you wouldn't need super internet to pull it off.
