Best way to find a consistent raid group?

I've tried lfg, the forums, reaching out to groups and clans here, how do people find raid groups? If a ninja or moderator could put this in the right place, just so I know where to look? Im about to give up on ever doing wotm. It's just too difficult:/

    • Be honest on lfg is the best way. I know how to do the hard raid and my light can get me in any team, yet i still always post "looking for chilled group,if u aint chill dont invite me" And if they aint chilled i leave the team. Got an invite to aksis phase 2, im only doin it for siva fragments. Hunter on left with me constantly ran around and made siva swarms hit us wen i was already hidden, then they all started stressing and shouting wen some took ages with a cannon. I didn't hesitate and instantly left the team. Got a chilled group str8 after and done it first time

    • Took me about 8 months to find a decent, consistent raid group. Honestly focus on finding a group you enjoy playing with, rather than one that's good at the game, the rest will come.

    • So. Here are few helpful tips that will help ease the pain of LFG. When you raid, take a screenshot of your fireteam. For the 2 or 3 players that are actually solid at play and communication, you message them after the raid and tell them you raid often and you want to build a raid team. Generally, I've had better luck joining someone's LFG post, I've never had a good team when I've made a post. If you are in a bad team, don't waste your time just leave and find another group. Don't limit yourself to 5 team mates, get as many as 10-15. This way, if some aren't available you can avoid LFG. When getting ready to join LFG, make sure your loadout is already sorted because idiots check your load out and think that NLB and Sidearm is your legit setup. And they will promptly boot or ignore you.

Finding a consistent one is way more difficult if you don't have a bunch of real life friends that play. Small clans can be a good start since less people means you'll likely play with the same people and maybe make a few friends. I offered to help people level up and complete missions, strikes, nighttfalls, raids, etc and friended the people I enjoyed playing with. It took me about 4-5 months and a lot of meeting random people but my friends list went from 2 to 15+ and I now have a pretty consistent raid group. Take the time to meet people and make friends. It can take a while and won't happen overnight but it's well worth the effort if you plan to play Destiny for a while

I started playing this late in its first year. Well after vog was a thing and dark below was on the cusp. After googling something about tbd i stumbled across gfaqs and learned about lfg. Relied on those to get things done but theres no accounting for the quality of player you get until you're caught n a fire fight you werent ready for. Eventually got with a clan right around ttk on the horizon. BEST. DECISION. EVER. Play with the same ppl consistently and always got folks to do stuff if need be. Can easily plan stuff out. You know exctly the type of players youre running with.

          • I met many groups of like 4 friends on lfg. I'm a pretty good raider so every reset I will always receive invites to good teams.
