Edit: to those who say a Christmas event would offend other religions, in my opinion Christmas nowadays is beyond Christianity.
It's a worldwide festival of kindness, giving and togetherness, regardless of race religion, or anything.
A small in game item to commemorate that surely can be allowed.
I've even spoken to a Muslim on this post who has said that they wouldn't mind, and my Jewish friend likes the idea.

It's [i]been[/i] beyond Christianity for years. Thing is, though, I still think they should call it something other than Christmas. They did the same thing with Halloween, and calling this a "Winter Festival" of sorts is a good idea and also doesn't focus specifically on other religions, which is good for marketing. Winter is technically already here for Earth anyways.

It baffles me that people get offended by someone else celebrating their religion. Black spindle Christmas tree would be hilarious, if they made last word look like a draidle (horrifically messed up the spelling, sorry) then that'd be awesome too

4 RepliesYeah i agree you, Christmas hasn't been a christian holiday for a long time. Mostly just a marketing ploy to get you buy crap for people you may not like. And I'm pretty sure, in the destiny's universe, most religions were given up after a giant white orb started controlling the weather.

11 RepliesI see a lot of people saying that atheists would be against Christmas trees and any Christmas based events, which is simply not true. For me and many of the people I know it's an excuse to have a few days off work, eat too much, spend way too much on the ones you love and generally have a good time. The opposition would be from other faiths and people who like to get butt-hurt about the smallest things. Who really cares if there's more stuff to do while you try and pass the "Turkey baby" you have sat in your gut after Xmas day?
