This thread is here so that the developers may research into the Thorn bounty, and the possibility of it being glitched, or if it's drop chances need to be increased. Above you'll find the stats of how much the Thorn bounty is dropping, and for what type of players. I think that maybe those who didn't previously own Thorn before Rise of Iron are getting the quest, and those who do/did own a Thorn are encountering a glitch preventing us from getting said quest. This'd make sense as there is a flashing quest indicator at the tower (The Tower and Iron Temple share this indicator), yet when we load in there's nothing there. I also read that those who previously owned Thorn would get the quest without relying on RNG. I believe these two facts are linked. For this to work, I need everyone to be honest about their answers, as this is to let Bungie know if there is a glitch or not with Thorn's Bounty. Edit #1: As of 4:35PM BST, the chances of getting the Thorn bounty are 10/142, which I'm sure you can see is very bad, especially for a very popular Year 1 weapon. Edit #2: I looked at the DOC section in news article and it states, and I quote; "[b][u]Waypoint over Tower in the Director[/u][/b] Players who have unlocked the Thorn Exotic Hand Cannon from Year 1 will see a waypoint above the Tower when in Orbit. Upon landing in the Tower, this waypoint will disappear." So yeah, I was correct.
