The Iron Companion gear can definitely drop from Dusty Iron Engrams.
I swear I saw one piece drop during Iron Banner, too, but I'm not sure about that one.

Just thinking out loud here, but what if they made the Y2 IB armor as lower drop rates in year 3 than the Y1 crap. Consider this; a few of this thread got said y1 in IB playlists while others only got Y3. What if those Y2 drops come from either Iron Banner or randomly from Legendary Engrams rewarded from IB Specifically, because I got year 2 armor from those too. Again just thinking out loud here.

During IB I got 2 iron breed gloves to drop as an end game reward so I bet you can get the other gear eventually.

No they are not, I tried that and all I got was Y3

Don't even bother going through that hell, it doesn't work...

Think so yeah. Make RNG give you below 335 stuff and it should pop out. Used it to level my other chars, pretty sure I got a gauntlets for my warlock.
