Exotic Armor Review: Transversive Steps -Bytch, I'm Fabulous!-

Warning: This post contains sexual humor, that may be inappropriate for some readers. Reader discretion is advised. Okay, let's go ahead and get this out of the way, right now: These are exotic boots. If you're expecting something that will replace your Praxic Fire, Ophidian Aspect, or Ram for anything other than fun and fashion, you might as well get ready for disappointment. So Warlocks finally found a pair of boots that they can call "exotic." And boy, oh boy are they exotic-looking (one way to describe them, when a male Warlock wears them.) Personally, I think the Warlocks are having an identity crisis, with this one. Normally, Warlock exotics look more regal or dark/creepy. These ones look like a Hunter played a fashion prank on the poor little mages. Meet the transvestite Steps *gets slapped* Okay okay, fine. *Ahem* meet the Transversive Steps, the Warlock's first attempt at both fashion, and boots. As far as looks go, these boots look like some super-rich (and probably gay) fashion designer had a fashion epiphany of some sort, after breaking a wine glass. They LOOK exotic, if nothing else. Quick disclaimer, though: Male Warlocks should avoid these things like the plague. It's not to say I'm homophobic or anything -it's just that these things look terrible on the male Warlocks, no matter which type of meat you eat (yeah, I said it). As far as the perks go, these really aren't that bad, for an exotic boot. You move faster, while crouching, and picking up ammo of any type reloads that weapon Bad-Juju-style. The movement speed basically means that you move almost as fast while crouched as you do while standing. I honestly don't see a while lot of use, from this, other than for shotgun camping window-lickers to move a bit faster on their golden kneepads (with these boots, i guess those kneepads are now diamond-encrusted). The ammo perk is kinda useful, if you know what you're doing. If you're burning a boss, and just don't wanna put up with the Machine Gun reload time (seriously, get some jeopardy theme song going for that) then stand near a fresh heavy brick, unload your machine gun, then step over the brick and keep on spraying. It also sorta helps with Special ammo, in the Crucible, so you don't have to spend five minutes loading your shotgun (don't even mention sniper Rifles -nobody uses those anymore). Overall, The Tranny-steps (had to say it) are actually not completely useless, unlike most exotic boots in the game. Unlike most other exotic boots, these ones encourage you to pop a squat, rather than try to race across the map at breakneck speeds. Also, unlike most exotic boots in the game, they don't have the exact same effect as literally every other boot except Bones of Eao ("While Sprinting..." "Sprint to..." "Tighter turn....." "faster movement while AD...."). It's ironic, really, that the class which benefits the LEAST from trying to camp on the balls of their feet would get a pair of boots that encourage them to do so. I mean, Titans have their bubble. They throw that bitch down, and that area has now become their personal space for the next century. Hunters practically invented camping, with abilities such as Stalker and Shadowjack. Warlocks don't really benefit from squatting down. Then again, we don't exactly benefit from flying, either... Come to think of it, where DO Warlocks benefit the most, on the battlefield? I swear, if someone says "dead on the ground" I will reach through my screen and slap you. Hope you guys enjoyed the review. As always, if you have a request for an exotic Armor or weapon review, leave it in the comments below, and I will get to it as soon as I can.
