I too believe this to be the case. I have already presented my case on multiple occasions, and Bungie just straight-up ignores them. And others are still like "Xur doesn't need to sell Exotic Shards because you can get Exotics this way or that way". Regardless, Exotic Shards in my community are in high demand and others are also in agreement. Bungie, please stop ignoring this and just bring back Exotic Shards for sale in Xur's inventory. Strange coins don't drop easy, and 13 SC for 1 piece of exotic armor to simply dismantle is ridiculously overpriced when there was a time that Exotic Shards sold only for 7 Strange Coins. And also, perhaps add a way to make it easier to obtain Silver Dust without having to waste spending a lot of actual money.
