I like how Bungie has always emphasized the importance of becoming legend and progressing your guardian, making a compelling narrative for your own character through your accomplishments, then they plan on pulling some shady shit like this. As for my opinion, I want to be able to preserve my character, but I'm fine with gear and everything getting wiped. Although, please make sure we can edit our guardian's look, because my Exo Hunter can never get away with taking his helmet off.
