It hasn't even been out for a day and already most raid groups are saying 360+.
Where did the fun go?
Everyone wants to get to max light, but nobody stops to appreciate the work put into the design, the mechanics, everything. I can't wait for tomorrow when you'll see "must have emblem" or whatever

It really is sad

The problem is that too many high lvl required activities get pushed out too fast. First the raid this last weekend and now trials this weekend. People want to level up as fast as possible.
-
360 is very reasonable honestly for the raid. My fireteam I like to raid with were low 360's with the exception of myself being 368 and another being 358. He was saying the enemies from Death zamboni on were orange for him and he got annihilated.
-
Must have max 365 gally
anyone remember this?
-
problem is that the min light for the raid went to 365. Loot from strike bosses cap at 365. the end boss and the end mobs in the raid scale to 380, meaning that at 365 you get one shot by just about everything. RoI is full of poor design choices leading to loot caving in omnigul, and only releasing 5 missions that total 2 hours of content. Archons Forge, just WTF ?! Also doing the raid is easier at the release of new content. With HM coming out everyone is going to want high Ll again, and the knock on is that people on LFG want the same higher LL for the NM raid.
-
In first 12 hours I already saw Must have emblem posts so ;) no surprise here
-
The last boss is 380, my group started as 5 350-354s and things went fine until phase 1 of the last boss.
-
Who cares about what other people do? I don't ever have to play with them. I have a community where people are laid back and focused on having fun. It's not something worth fretting about.
-
Of course it's here. It's fair. What if you were 370 and with a team of 370's you could do it in 2 hours. A team of 350's would take you double that and probably wouldn't beat it. Some people just want to get it done, and I understand that.
-
It hasn't even been out for a day and already most raid groups are saying 360+.
You expect to beat the raid at 350? 360 is even nearly impossible, except for the better players.
-
360 is the absolute minimum man! There's a reason for the recommended 370! I went in with a team where I was the only one above 370, some were 356, and at the final boss fight the guys told me they needed 5-6 shots to kill a shank! It was 2 shots for me with a medium impact HC. Not to say we couldn't finish because there was just not enough dps against the boss...
-
There's a recommended light level for a reason. If you're not close enough to it, you're not gonna be able to do your part in the raid. The raids not going anywhere, so there's plenty of time for guardians to level up and watch plenty of youtube videos before they even try and join. And if you want a something specific, setup a lfg post with the requirements youd like to have to try and find the people with the same mindset as you. Tl;dr Play the game how you want. Just don't expect to be carried if you're not willing to put in the time to level up.
-
For the raid u do really need to be atleast 360... i treod as a 350 yesturday (ik not trash i can hold my own) and got torn a new asshole from a dreg... its possible some people r doing it but its hard and it doesnt feel like im contributing.
-
I dislike that they say it but they have good reason. Assuming you make it to the boss room, the enemies will be light level 380...sooo....
-
Raising your light level isn't that hard. Jump into to heroic strike Playlist and play a few strikes.
-
Everyone is complaining about this now, the DLC hasn't been out a week. Give people time, levels will get higher and progression will get easier once heroics and NF become tiddlywinks to everyone again.
-
Just ran the first half tonight with a bunch of blind 350-370s. TONS OF FUN.
-
90% of destiny players are try hards who suck at most FPS PVP games. They don't know what "fun" is.
-
I dont understand why people expect anything different, this hss hsppened with every raid. Its logical that when success rates are low people will want the highest light levels to ensure they complete it, over time those requirements become more lax and lower as people work out how to do things and become more efficient at it. The complaint against this is plain stupid, everything will have highrr requirements at launch than say, 3 months down the line since its immensely easier due to people understanding the mechanics and little details that can help them.
-
The recommended level is 370. The raid is brand new & people aren't sure how hard/easy encounters in the raid will be. Why should people handicap themselves by taking lower level players at this point? You're free to start your own group with your own requirements.
-
and this is why i am not doing the raid until i am 365 or higher
-
The fun died with Jon Whiski's Nerfs.
-
Already seeing must have emblem and I don't blame them. Took me 7 hours or so just to beat the final boss because people don't understand the mechanics. Five different groups later and we found a group which took us a mere two tries.
-
I'm confused the min light suggested is 370 and it's their group. Want to go in way under light start your own group why is this even a thing?
-
And? Its their group. None of your business what they want in THEIR group. Here's an idea, do what the rest of us do, make your own and pay no mind to those who demand higher light? But I guess that's just an adults point of view.

As someone who has actually beaten it, I can tell you that going up against Aksis with a firetram below 370 is asking for the struggle bus. The boss encounter is 380. The fight is a DPS race with limited damage sequences. Asking for 365+ is perfectly acceptable since the game hands you 365 on a platter through heroics. You can get to 370 via faction packages, NF, and exotic engrams. Being at 370 also means your raid drops start that much higher and push you closer to the 380 mark for Aksis.
