Two sick men were lying in a hospital. They were dying, both of them. One of the two men was lying next to the window. He was allowed to sit straight for 10 minutes each day, so he could look out of the window.
The other man was too sick to sit straight. But of course he wanted to know what's out there as well! So he asked the man next to the window if he could tell him what is out there, and the man next to the window started describing the view: There are playing children, having lots of fun! The sky's perfectly blue and everything is fine out there.
This kept going on like this for almost a month, until the man next to the window passed out. So the man still alive asked a nurse if he could lie next to the window. It was OK, the nurse said. The first thing the man did was looking out of the window. But he saw nothing but a wall. The man told the nurse: "But where are the children and the sky he told me about?" "It's never been there. The man was blind, he didn't see the wall."

I heard a similar story but out was about 3 people who had 3 different rooms and only I one room had a window and they killed each other to get the room next to the window. Until the last one got the room and only saw the wall
