Given Rasputin is so interested in vex time technology, it (Rasputin) could well be IT, i.e. the big bad darkness, i.e. Rasputin gone rampant from the future. Though not a fact, we can assume an AI like that would evolve exponentially quicker than anything else, plus with access to tech like siva, there wouldn't anything at all to stand in its way going forward.
