The Last Word once was an ultra fun gun, but right now it makes absolutely NO sense whatsoever as a weapon.
1. Hip fire, even with stability and target acquisition, holds no advantage over ADS
2. ADS is at a disadvantage with the HC accuracy nerf and the extra nerf given the TLW
3. Disgruntled PvPers killed by the TLW STILL complain it's OP, despite being nerfed to it's current state.
4. The gun is next worthless in PvE.
* Bungie made all guns for BOTH PvE and PvP So don't spout that dumb myth that some guns are PvP focused. Bungie has explained repeatedly that's not the case. And they even fixed a PvE glitch for TLW. Why? Cause it was intended to function in both game modes.
5. Most important - every suggestion made to fix it gets run down by both haters and lovers and people who just want to argue for arguing's sake. But the fact is the weapon needs SOMETHING to better incentivize it's original purpose as a hip-fired, western throw back.
Bungie, I love what you've done with this weapon, but if you decide you can't fix the gun, I guess it might just be better to take it out of the mix to shut people up. Let the haters win, but that's better than watching this work of art be constantly bludgeoned because it's too awesome of a weapon.
TLW lover out.

TLW already deals less damage than weapons of its archetype. Appellant III has the same rate of fire and same impact, but does 86 critical, whereas TLW does 75. I think they both deal around 54-57 damage to the body.

With out the damage buff from firing at the hip, I dont fire at the hip at all anymore with this weapon

No. No more nerfs. We've had a ton of nerfs and they don't help the game become any more fun or interesting.
-
I hate when people say " this shouldn't be used here or there". What the -blam!- is the point of anything then?

Also add Outlaw because the name matches the gun and would increase reload. So... The Last Word - Exotic Hand Cannon 0: Kinetic, Infuse, The Last Word: Increased stability, accuracy, and rate of fire while hip firing (no one cares about full auto and would make more sense as a aggressive hip firing gun) 1: Aggressive, Smart Drift, Field Choke 2: Hip Fire 3: High Caliber Rounds, Perfect Balance, Quickdraw 4: Outlaw

The Last Word and pve don't belong in the same sentence.

It's not a pve gun.......
